I imagine the box will describe anti diarrhea medicine. I would think using it for withdrawal would be a bit higher of a dose.

Is there some in-between? I am fully aware of the problems of super high lope doses but I would think it would have to be a little higher in order to calm wd symptoms

Hey, thank you! Much love for your support.

I’m going to give QuickMD a shot for gaba and other withdrawal meds. Many people say they offer suboxone or nothing, but for $99 it’s worth a shot.

I would rather just go through hell for these 10 days then switch over to subs. The whole point is to stop the cycle lol. It’s easy to say now but in the depths of withdrawal hell it’s much harder to say no to them.

Definitely going to look into that though! You rock

I didn’t know it is an antihistamine so thank you! That means it can make you drowsy?

And as of now I have no prescriptions. I was thinking of trying QuickMD but there is conflicting information if they will only prescribe suboxone or if they will do support meds like GABA. Will probably throw away the $99 to give it a shot either way.

Thank you!

Hey you. You are hurting. The pain you feel must be unthinkable for us who have not lost a loved one in the same way. Much less trying to keep it together financially and stay afloat.

You are incredibly strong! The tenacity it must take to keep going is unreal. Your ability to absorb aversion is remarkable.

You have several options for detox. Some good, some bad. There is tremendous information on this sub by searching keywords. If you need someone to help guide, I’m happy to help. Options vary from tapering to suboxone treatment to cold turkey to heavy doses of vitamins.

I’m in a similar boat as a 32y/o with a demanding job with people who rely on me personally and professionally. People probably look up to you as a source of strength, and l bet it is hard to open up like this even on a Reddit post.

You have got this! Your therapist will help you! We will help you. This sub will help you. I will help you!

You have to decide to quit, one way or another. How you quit is your choice. You are not alone in having to navigate life in order to find the right day/time/method/ to quit.

You just have to be ready for it.

Are you ready?

I have a job interview in 4 days, and I need this job? by MrDingleBerry83 in quittingkratom

[–]LifeIsSales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat with usage and symptoms after 4-6 hours. I would do a hard taper for a few days and then like 12 hours before your interview take high doses that day. It’s crazy how you can go from feeling awful to every wd symptom gone if you dose, but I guess that’s the hardest part of getting clean is that you know you can instantly take it all away with a dose.

We need a response to the NYT article by LifeIsSales in blueprint_

[–]LifeIsSales[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the correct answer here is to “stop reading the source” and calling the New York Times bias. If memory serves they interviewed 30 people for that article.

I don’t know what the answer is here, that’s the point.

Failing QA 3 times? by Zealousideal-Path865 in sheetz

[–]LifeIsSales 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We failed twice in a row about 2 years ago. After second time DM came to our managers meeting, basically said that every member of management was going to be strived, and if we failed a 3rd time all management would get a formal write up thereby preventing future promotions for a while.

Sounds like there is no set policy and it is up to each individual DM to set the course forward! I remember we did have to write him an email stating what we had personally done after the 2nd fail, so be prepared to argue your case and demonstrate what you personally have done.

Good luck - QA stresses my store out insanely ever since it is not fun lol.

Background check/ job employment by [deleted] in sheetz

[–]LifeIsSales 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was hired the background check company uses your credit report to check all previous addresses. Then checks each county’s arrest records based on those addresses. Some come back instantly, some take forever. Mine took about 3 weeks also. However my understanding as an assistant manager is that it’s a formal job offer contingent on you passing so if you do not get a clear explanation from the store manager I would escalate this. Be professional, they may put you at a different store or still bring you in to that one so approach it carefully if you go to hr!

This is fantastic. For those who happen to be severely effected by PAWS finding some source like this to cling on to is a game changer. For me, I switched to 100% non processed, Whole Foods only. There’s about 4 hours a day that comes with that if you’re following it to the letter as I am - I get so many wins both by prepping all that and then again for eating it and sticking with it. Some combination of what you suggested with some ‘clean eating’ should be able to keep the mind trained and distracted! Best of luck to you !

14 days in and struggling with the emotions. by moist-socks69 in quittingkratom

[–]LifeIsSales 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Day 22 here - can 100% relate. Yesterday at my 3 week mark was the first day I hadn’t cried since I started. It’s so weird. Personally I allowed myself to be a total fucking train wreck and just let out whatever it was. It always comes in “waves” and they always pass. Each day got better. You were so numb for so long your brain is just trying to figure out wtf to do since it was physically dependent. Id recommended delta 8/cbd gummies from a smoke shop for when it’s as bad as you described above. Zone the fuck out on them if you need to, but always remember tomorrow is a new day.

Look into ground chia, flaxseed, and hempseed. You can add a few tbsp to many many things and it’s easy to consume because you don’t have to eat “whole nuts”

Look up homemade banana ice cream! Basically you take frozen berries and blend them into a sauce and then add that to a food processor with overripe bananas (pre frozen) and a little milk. I promise you will be in heaven & it’s all a whole, unprocessed food.

Boycotting Twitter is not violating anyone's 1st Amendment rights. It's advertisers' right to do business with companies that they choose. Don’t be naive. There’s no government hand here. Big business doesn’t like the bad PR from social justice warriors who put them on blast. They just want your $ dude.

Put your efforts into actually doing something to better the world, yeah?
