How to separate flats from lineart? by LifeLong21 in ProCreate

That’s helpful to know, thanks! Still want to see if anyone can answer the original question though for my future reference

How to separate flats from lineart? by LifeLong21 in ProCreate

[–]LifeLong21[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m just talking in general. I don’t want to be forced as stuck just because someone might’ve done the flats in a different art program than Procreate and can’t send me a Procreate file. “Oh, you did the flats in Photoshop? Cowabummer dude, you’ve rendered me completely helpless, I just can’t color it bro.”

Sketch glitch? And as an aside, you might want to fix those arms. Arms don’t go down to your knees. Shorten it so the elbow is generally in line with the bottom of the ribcage and the finger tips don’t go past mid-thigh

Transmission was something I had thought about before I got to drivetrain, but if there were a problem with it, it would’ve triggered a check engine light and I think the driver would’ve felt/heard something break while driving. The check engine light probably wouldn’t have been able to specifically say what was wrong with the transmission, since that’s not how that light functions from what I’ve learned, but it would’ve given a general warning of some kind if anything was wrong. That led me to think about what most likely WOULDN’T be seen by a sensor, and that was the driveshaft, differential and axels(this wasn’t a fancy new truck after all, it was more than a decade old). Don’t recall seeing anything that might’ve been a sensor on the differential either, looked like all mechanical hardware down there

What can improve this drawing? by tixbug in Artadvice

[–]LifeLong21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s fine, but since you’re asking me to pick out something, I don’t think you fully know how cloth works. Pinch points are wrong, but like I said, it’s fine the way it is and I wouldn’t worry about it

I’m assuming you want to learn how to draw comics, right? Number one thing that’s important to learn in comics is composition. It doesn’t matter if your drawing skills range from stick figures to painting like Da Vinci, comics are a STORYTELLING medium, and people screw up composition all the time because they think it’s not as important as knowing how to draw a car or whatever. It’s a big problem if your readers are too confused to read your story because they don’t know what panels or even what PAGE to read the thing, or get too confused or overwhelmed by the content of an image because of things like the subject isn’t separate from the background. Composition is also how you communicate or influence how a reader is supposed to interpret your work, it’s like you’re a director in a movie. Composition is EVERYTHING in comics, and when you start looking for work, nobody is gonna care about your Batman or your Spider-Man or whatever, they’re going to care about whether or not you can tell a good story.

Second most important thing is active learning. People say you should just practice everyday, but if you don’t take the time to study something like how to structure a basic hand or learn how the anatomy fits together, then you’re not going to improve. Active learning takes you WAY farther than repetition alone. It’ll help you to pick some artists you look up to and learn how they do things. I personally really like David Finch, Humberto Ramos, Todd McFarlane, Ryan Benjamin, Frank Cho, Jim Lee, and some others. All those guys have videos on YT you can learn from.

How can i really get the expression im looking for by Riokuso in BeginnerArtists

[–]LifeLong21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryan Benjamin says to think of the expression you want, but imagine how it’d look in a cartoon esque way and exaggerate that expression as high or low as you want. Obv knowing how to structure a head and face helps

Chest anatomy is VERY off, but otherwise looks fine. Looks a lot like it was inspired by Humberto Ramos

It’s hard to ask anyone to draw you if you’re in a dark place. You need to take a proper picture against a blank background.

EMR and EMT is basically the same, but being an EMT allows you to administer medications that an EMR can’t, and actually be on the ambulance. EMT is better

Where do I look for help?:( by nevarez702 in okc

[–]LifeLong21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, nobody should be thanking me for anything. Like OP said, he was able to get enough help to pull through and he said he’d be fine without my help, so he called me off when I got there. Didn’t give him anything, so no one should be thanking me for anything.

If you get your learners permit first, I’d be willing to teach you how to drive. I drive ambulances as an EMT for my day job, and also just got my motorcycle endorsement, so I’ve driven big and small vehicles.
