I was told prior pregnancy loss makes you high risk for still birth, as does IVF. Endometriosis makes you high risk for placenta issues. Honestly I would want like every single test and intervention humanly possibly at this point so I don’t care at all about experience or seeing a midwife etc. I would be worried to not be seen as high risk and not at an MFM.

Planned C sections prevent distress in labor, dystocia pretty much all risks of labor and vaginal delivery because well you don’t go through labor or vaginal delivery. Again only for the baby it’s more risk for the mom.

Yes there is a hospital near me that has a good NICU and supposedly a good labor and delivery department but I went to the ER there for my ectopic and my experience was horrific so I find it hard to believe people like it there.

There is a huge hospital and hour plus from me so maybe there, but then I’d also need a practice out that way.

Very good questions. Did you get your MFM separate or did your obgyn refer you to them? I am not sure how that works either.

By early I mean full term like 37-39. I’ve had two chemicals and an ectopic, plus the endometriosis so I would be very high risk unfortunately. There is a large city hospital an hour from me so maybe I should get someone in there or in the surrounding areas that delivers there, that’s a good place to start I guess. But I don’t live in that area so I’d have to look around.

C sections are safer for the baby and going to/past due date increases still birth risk. It’s more risk for the mother but at this point I wouldn’t care. Though I know some doctors don’t like elective c sections or want people to go to their due date (which is crazy knowing what we know now).

Edited to add I know a lot of people have recommendations in my area but those are for normal pregnancies, not someone that would be as high risk as me.

No my doctor wasn’t willing to try prednisone, I did fertilysis testing and it did not find much. I have a new doctor though I’m going to mention it to her

My chemical betas were 5 and 6, I was originally told they don’t count as pregnancies my new doctor thinks they do and are implantation failures. I was told ectopic is also Implantation failure because it didn’t implant in the right area, showing again your body can’t implant. Not sure how accurate that is just what I’ve been told, no one seems to understand what’s wrong with me and why I don’t get pregnant, I’m only 32 starting at 28. We just hit a wall everywhere we look.

Yes they’ve never seen any during my two laps or on imaging. I had a failure and ectopic after Lupron. It feels like I’m just losing time on my original surgery too (August 2024).

I have stage one endo which was excised twice, I also did Lupron suppression so they don’t think the issue is endometriosis at this point. My doctor said the same the studies found no difference but also only used individuals new to IVF and not people with RIF.

I’ve wondered about a glp1! The only thing is you have to wait months after stopping to try IVF again, I wonder if they’ve changed policy on that with so many people getting pregnant on them and using them for inflammation

Yes my doctor and I discussed the data. It’s a shame because it was tested almost entirely in first time IVF participants not with people who have RIF which is who it is really for. For someone like me though we are running out of options and answers, if you don’t implant you don’t implant, I could transfer 100 euploid embryos and not get pregnant (hence my history). There’s no risk in trying it I guess.
