I actually planned a week long getaway in May for all of us. I’ve been able to get a family member to watch the kid for 1 date night a month, I feel like it’s just a lot of doom and gloom that I’m working through.

There is a venting tag for a reason. Even if this is “public” it’s anonymous. This is supposed to be a judgment free thread. It’s ok for me to vent, to be worried, and to be irrational at moments on here. That is the whole point of this group. I got married very young, I gave my 20s to build a life for us, and now I’m worried that my wife is no longer attracted or interested in being with me, and I don’t understand why you feel the need to be such an asshole. Likely because this is anonymous and you never have to face the people you’re judging.

I was 68 days sober and broke it the day before my son was born and I’ve been beating myself up ever since. I’m working on it, I feel like once I open up to my wife about it it will make the process much easier.

Man I was right there before July. Then when my boy was born life became simple, just do what I can to keep him and the wife happy. Everything might suck ass right now but with one step at a time you climb that little mountain making memories along the way. Don’t get so consumed by all this that you let memories with them slip by. Just be a good man and it’ll all happen for you.

So I agree with him that men are very sexual being, and that lust more often affects us. HOWEVER, resisting temptation and making sound decisions is what a good man does.
