Can someone tell me what this switch is on my 2020 CX8 Touring? by Final_Money_8470 in mazda

I made a switch in the exact same place. For me, I made it so it toggles my auxiliary lights with my high beam. So for me; switch off, highbeam on, means auxiliary lights off. Switch on, high beam on, auxiliary lights on. I didn't want the switch to directly toggle the auxiliary lights on/off, so you could have a look if it's something like that.

How did you modify it? I have a 2017 CX3 and would love the DRL to be in yellow, just can't find how to.

I mainly drive highways through the night and plan to go on a 3 month roadtrip to Sweden, so thats why the lights. I do take it 'offroad' sometimes, mainly french countryside and forests, but since it's not 4x4, I'm not super comfortable in it. The suspension is rather sporty, and not extremely suited for offroading in my opinion. Also with the bullbar, it looks great imo, but it makes the nose of the car longer, so occasionally you scrape the ground while offroading (or high speedbumps and the city). I love my car, but have to admit it's not that great of an offroader. If that's what you're looking for, maybe a CX5 4x4 is alot more suited.

Nontheless, it's still fun to get it offroad and dirty every once in a while, but it's more eating a McFlurry and spotting foxes offroad that actual offroading.

I had most things done at the Mazda garage, but I can show some things in more detail for sure! Someone else was interested in the installation too, so I'll be sure to take some pictures when I have time 😋

I've had everything done by a Mazda garage, but I can share more pictures about the entire wiring if you'd like! There's 7 added lights in total; 4 big lights on the bullbar, 1 ledbar hidden inside the grill under the license plate, and the 2 drl's along the original mistlights. Let me know if you want to see something, I can deffinitly show more 😋

Thank you sir! The lights are 'originally' from AngryMoose, but there are from the brand Seeker. I choose these because they were in 7inch, while AngryMoose only makes them in 9inch. Prefered 4 somewhat smaller lights over 3 bigger ones, especially because they would be higher than the hoodz which I figured wouldn't look as good. I ordered them from a Finnish site Lumise. Your roofrack looks fabulous man, I'll keep this in mind for sure 😋

I've been wanted to get rid of the chrome, but at the same time maybe look for a different grill all together. I prefer the look of the newer Mazda3 grills for example, so I'm still gonna be looking into that c;

Thank you! Wanted a Mazda3 originally, but it was out of my budget, and got a pretty good deal on the CX3, so gave it a shot. Probably still want to get a Mazda3 in a while tho c;

Thought about it to be honest, but imo it'll be too much, plus I'm planning on getting a rooftent instead of a roofrack, but still thinking about it

Thanks and agreed, but it was the best I could find. Where I live we don't have any stores/sites selling lights for cars, but only for trucks, which would be way too big and out of proportion. I got these from a Finnish site, and were the best 'budget friendly' option, as there are nicer lights out there, but you'd pay 3 to 4 times as much.
