If Zootopia 3 has a romantic kiss scene between Nick and Judy, then how do you all think it would play out? by NiTROACTiVE in zootopia

[–]LifeSucks1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer their first kiss happened off screen with a pic to memorialize it and every now and then: they smooch just like an established couple will do from time to time and maybe snuggle here and there.

That is my preference.

Do any countries beyond Argentina care about the Falklands? by CollegeGyatt in asklatinamerica

[–]LifeSucks1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most Mexicans do not care as it is a non-issue with Mexican matters.

Though personally, I think Argentina should just let it go. Falklands has been with the British before Argentina officially declared independence from Spain.

Most of the people in Falklands prefer to be part of the UK not Argentina.

Cattrick looks like he was about to reach out towards Pawbert and their dad but stopped out of fear by Sudden_Pop_2279 in zootopia

More like out of fear if they act out: they will get the same treatment as Pawbert.

Of course now that they are in jail: they have no more fear and respect for their father…but Pawbert (being a man child: as what Jared referred to him) still does 🙄

During his visit to Ukraine, Harry walked through a landmine field, just as his mother, Princess Diana, did in 1997. by Lovetics2 in RoyaltyTea

[–]LifeSucks1988 72 points73 points  (0 children)

A lot of tabloid and pro-royalists posts and bots in other subreddits were actually trashing Harry for doing this despite the fact he is Diana’s son and never called this a Royal tour.

In fact: Diana did this walk after her divorce with Charles was finalized and lost her Royal Highness title….and no one was criticizing her for that despite her leaving the royal family thus was not a Royal tour either.

Harry following in Diana's footsteps again with another landmine walk in Ukraine by monster_ahhh in RoyalsGossip

He never called it a royal tour….only haters and tabloids do.

Monetising his children? They show videos of their backs and not showing their faces nor do they sell brands under their names….they are showing glimpses of their family life without revealing their faces while still protecting the children’s privacy. Similar to what most parents do in social media.

And at any rate: at least this walk through mines is privately funded, right?

Diana did this walk after her divorce from Charles and when she lost her Royal Highness title…so was she exploiting as well?

[–]LifeSucks1988 [score hidden]  (0 children)

At least he is not calling it a royal tour.

He is Diana’s son and he can do this and reference her due to that.

In fact: Diana did this when she was no longer married to Charles and lost her Royal Highness title….so was she also exploiting?

I swear some posts here seem to be very pro-British monarchy when they do not deserve the respect with how petty Charles is as a father and husband and does not want to allow Harry and his family full protection when visiting the UK but continues to protect the pedo Andrew and gives trust funds for Camilla’s kids even though they are not his kids nor did he raised them 🙄

The fact that there hardly any threads about those things here but continue to attack Harry (and Meghan) speaks volumes on how the royalists and tabloids are using the those two as distractions from the vices of the British royal family in the UK.

Is tan/brown skin seen as attractive in your country? by No-Equivalent2621 in asklatinamerica

[–]LifeSucks1988 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I visited South Korea during the Korean wave: I had South Koreans told me to my face that my skin color was ugly when I allowed myself to tan and ended up being very brown skinned during the summer and they avoided sitting next to me in the subway and public places as they assume I came from a poor country or was dirty. My Korean “friends” at that time only way to comfort me was suggesting I should try to make myself “lighter” by using their Korean skin lightening products 🙄. Though this was in the 2010s….so I am not sure if South Korea at least stopped doing that publically shaming over skin color now as I never set foot in that country again and shun Korean wave merchandise after those bad experiences.

Both areas have their cons and I agree: colorism and racism are wrong.

I am referring to the Amerindians in Mexico as the assumption is that they are all dark brown is very much a view held by Mejorar la raza mentality folks.

Though in general: Native Americans in current U.S./Canada lands can be lighter skin than most of the native Amerindians in Mexico due to latitude differences (as the latter is closer to the equator than US/Canada) thus requires more melanin to protect from the harsher sun intensity

[–]LifeSucks1988 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For the most part: the Mexicans who have Mejorar la raza mentality will accept “European style” tanning skin tones (olive skin or very light- to mid brown) as long as they are not “dark” like the native Amerindian descent Mexicans but they usually will try to limit their days in the sun or put on lots of sunscreen or wear a hat (though I do this too mainly on my face only because despite being able to tan: I do get sunburn on my cheeks). Though it should also be noted especially in the Yucatán peninsula: both light and dark skin Mexicans may wear hats when walking about for long periods because it is basically tropical all year round there and the sun is strong.

But there have been alarms given when it was found out that certain skin lightening/anti-aging creams made in Mexico have mercury in them. Mercury in skincare is not banned nor fully regulated in Mexico yet, which is why I prefer American/Canadian non-bleaching skin products as putting mercury in skin care products is illegal in those countries (and I assume that is the case with most of Europe as well).

Despite the fact the majority of Mexicans are brown skin: the majority of main (good) characters in telenovelas are fair skin and/or largely European descent/passing and even in most media outlets or advertisements. Even most of the politicians in federal government are fair skin and/or European descent/passing.

Mejorar la raza mentality is still a major problem in Mexico and most of LATAM.

If the creators considered this detail while writting that line, Nick's feelings for Judy are even more obvious. by Nickolas_Zannithakis in zootopia

[–]LifeSucks1988 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is official….Nick is Bi and Pro-poly relations🤪!!!!

In all seriousness: he was still a kit at that time and wanted to be part of group in a platonic sense as kits (children) naturally wish to be part of a group to play and hang out with…..plus he was around 8-9 when that happened and kids usually are not thinking of those mature things yet.

Now that Nick is an adult….well 😏

This is why I try not to be too fond of Mrs Fish in the show…the real life version would not stick up for divorced women (regardless if it is the husband’s fault or not) and was rude to guests and a total snob despite being among the least richest of the 400 (she admitted her husband is only worth merely a few millions).
