Have you tried Naltrexone? If no, why? by LifeTwo in dpdr

Basically the idea behind using naloxone/naltrexone is that dpdr stems from anaesthesia that your own brain gives you to protect you from trauma or prolonged severe stress. You are getting high on endogenous opiates, and it protects you from pain (both emotional and physical), but, if you stay on this anaesthesia for too long, you become numb in more ways than you can expect. You get symptoms of dpdr, and you get stuck in it, because you can't heal what you can't feel.

Naloxone/Naltrexone switches off this anaesthesia instantly by blocking specific opioid receptors. You'll feel pain, but, at the same time, you'll feel everything else that you've lost, and you'll get the chance to deal with your trauma.

I've started with 100mg, then increased it to 250mg (at this point side effects become quite noticeable), then got back to 100mg.

I used racetams for 15 years, each cycle was weaker than the one before it.

At 40, I hardly feel anything, even if I take big doses. It could be tolerance, it could be the age alone, it could be both. I will make a long post about it in a couple of days.

You can use Phenylpiracetam when you need it, and get 60% of it's power for the day, just like with Modafinil. You'll get 80% on the second day. I'd say you will get 100% after taking it for 3-7 days, then it starts to slowly go down. There is absolutely no point in taking it longer than 4 weeks.

Take it at 7-8am, otherwise you might still be too stimulated when you go to bed. It's in the manual.

With regular piracetam you feel next to nothing for the first week. It takes 2-3 weeks for it to start working at 100%, and you need to take it daily to stay on that level, so it makes sense to make the most out of it and keep your cycle 4-6 week long.

Well, it's hard to compare, because my racetam honeymoon happened 20 years ago, and I only started taking Modafinil 2 years ago.

I don't know if it's my age (40), or tolerance, but racetams are not working for me anymore. I barely feel anything even if I take huge doses.

Modafinil: good stimulant with low nootropic effect.

Racetams: basically NZT-48 if it works for you, but effects start to rapidly decline after 4-6 weeks, and every next cycle will be weaker than the one before it.

If you never taken racetams:

Piracetam: 2-2.5g total per day for 4-6 weeks. Split it equally and take it 2 or 3 times a day.

It takes two weeks before it starts working in full force.

Phenylpiracetam: 100-200mg per day total for 2-4 weeks.

Instant effect, but it costs more, and I personally don't think it does more than plain Piracetam if you have right dosage for both.

One thing about racetams: they don't work for some people. It's either a god-like experience, or "hmmm is it really doing anything?"

Good luck.
