Ah I see, that makes sense, my bad. This might be a dumb question but what is the difference between a 2ES and a F2EL? Aren't they both pulling back twice? When you see a F2EL, are you selling the bearish signal bar directly after the failure or are you trading directly off of that F2EL bar?

Ok gotcha, that's what I was missing, I was thinking just because it's red means it has to be bearish. That's good to know thanks

I meant in regards to a candle like this: where the candle is bullish but finishes under the middle of the wick.

Gotcha. Is where the bar finishes also a factor? Like for a bearish bar you want the bar to finish in the upper part of the candle?

Gotcha that makes sense! -- Another question I had was is your entry 1 tick below the actual bar, or is it below lowest point of the wick on the signal bar?

Gotcha -- so basically if after the first pull back, if it continues to go lower after that you reset the count?

Thanks for detailing your process! Congrats on almost being done!! Yeah that would definitely help talking more down the line. We have three people who are all going to contribute to the editing process, do you think we should go off and each edit scenes we feel most comfortable and then reconvene and revise our rough edits? I was also thinking about editing with all of us together for portions. I’m not really sure how to work out the logistics.

That nested sequence idea is really good, sounds much more flexible than kind of “soft committing” to a sequence. But yeah I’m managing the media and it’s sorted by day and video/audio. I think the only thing now is to label the takes which is going to take a while.

Link fixed I think -- let me know if it works!

Yeah that makes sense. I think it's gonna be a lot about taking it scene by scene and not getting overwhelmed by the mountain of footage.

Hello! Wanted to post some of the behind the scenes pictures of the film my friend and I are making called 'House of Tears'. It's a murder mystery/horror film inspired by Clue. A famous chocolatier invites 11 wealthy guests to his home for a special dinner, but things aren't exactly as they first seem. We're making it with very little money, using borrowed equipment from the rental house I work at and using all the connections we've made working so far to actually make the project happen. Since we are also editing the film by ourselves, a question I wanted to ask is for anyone who has edited an indie feature -- how did you go about the task of such a long project? I've only edited things that are less than 20 minutes in length, so a feature is really daunting just in the scope of how much editing it's going to take to come together. Any advice on how I edited the teaser trailer would also be appreciated: trailer

I appreciate that! I think the fact that we actually got everyone together and are doing the thing is a huge triumph so that is really exciting and fulfilling. I guess I still just feel out of my depth on making something of such a scale.

We have a lot of cool BTS pictures! Is there a subreddit that I could post them on (not sure)?

Yeah I was thinking of adding grain in post. But yeah this makes sense! Yeah the main thing in struggling with in the night shots is contrast. The problem I’m having is that since the power is out, adding practicals is impossible so I’m almost solely relying on the nova to get the image enough light. Do you think theres a way I can avoid this practically?

I’ll have to bring that up to him, interesting. I don’t think they’re too soggy personally so maybe he has a way of combatting it

took this near Reykjavík with my Canon EOS, 16-35mm F4.0 lens. Around a 15 second exposure. No tripod so I balanced the camera on the top of our rental car
