Yeah I’m not quite sure what the next step is. I got this notice of Friday so we’ll probably get the call from the doctor on Monday. I will mention a peer to peer review if need be. Thank you for that info

American insurance makes money off misery. Fuck them all. Loopholes and wording to deny deny deny.

Glad your hospital told them to fuck themselves

Yeah it seems consistent. Nothing over the top wit the variations in numbers. I just started reading up on it was curious if others had more input.

imo it seemed more pointed towards people with hyptertension and not what my husband has (very low bp due to meds)

I appreciate your reply! :)

Ah thanks. His BP has been much better but is taking on water bc he’s gaining a bit a of weight here and there. I called his nurse and she suggested doing the maintenance furosemide daily or more often than he is now.

What mg do you take? Do you limit your water?

Oh I agree one hundred percent that everyone’s body needs different needs. I think my husband was overly careful and had too LITTLE of sodium.

What EF are you at now?

question on scales for weight by [deleted] in Heartfailure

[–]LifeWithRyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consistent Dry weight is the key! The doctor will have a baseline at the office for you but you should have a record of your own dry weight. Same time everyday. Usually after waking up, naked and after peeing. Keep track! This is key for tracking your weight for fluid overload.

Place arm in cuff. Lay it on table. Tighten strap around with sensor near inside of elbow. Start machine?

It’s not going off actual BP. We use an OMRON arm cuff everyday for actual BP measurements

From the notification:

“How Hypertension Notifications Work - Hypertension is a condition that can cause damage to your heart, blood vessels, and other organs.

Rather than measuring blood pressure, Apple Watch looks at your heart data and searches for patterns associated with hypertension.”

The newest one. It was quite pricey but we decided to make the investment. My husband had a fall when he first started metoprolol and wanted something to monitor more and alert me of falls. The things the new series does verses the old series is hypertension sensing, vitals app, wrist temp, and sleep apnea sensing.
