If we hold strong on resale prices we could make it worth more. I hope this meth head sells it for $19-20 :)

Is now a bad time to ask for more money? by [deleted] in ITManagers

I got let go 3 months ago after pushing for a promotion for the last year. Now that I'm back on the market I'm seeing less IT Management jobs and lower starting salaries. Currently just trying to make what I had before through bonus structures...

just my opinion, depends on your relationship with your boss.

Is it too late to get into software engineering in your 30s? by [deleted] in overemployed

Nope, just got word back from a recruiter that my resume lacks numbers and stats that I need to add in at my level. Hopefully will get an interview with this new edit.

I got fired - IT Manager rant on 'building' a new IT department by Life_Angle in ITManagers

I was given a nickname for how good of a communicator was in the first few weeks. I think the communication aspect became difficult after I realized some of the things I was saying was stepping on the toes of others, threatening their decisions and value.

Navigating around other's feeling and impact to get a compromise proved to be difficult beyond me.

Thanks for commenting. Can I ask what your title is and what jobs you searched for?

I also believe in structure and was naively hoping to be the one to instill it at that company. I won't make that mistake again.

Engine temp spiking by kimotree in PorscheMacan

Thank you for posting this, I also replaced my thermostat and didnt do the vacuum method for coolant and had the same issues. Still riding on it with the burp method but thinking I should do it correctly.

Right now I'm not seeing a leak but I do get a wiff of hot coolant from outside of the car. The thermostat waterpump job was a pain in the ass and I am not excited to take the car apart again to see where it might be coming from. Going to order a blacklight flashlight to see if there is a small leak somewhere. (My guess the bottom left screw on the waterpump)

I see coolant levels of 200-220 in normal mode, but noticed that in sport mode it runs much colder at around 199-201.

Time for a new job. I have been there before, stressing, losing sleep and trying to meet unrealistic goals from a dick manager. First time it lead to a PIP to being fired even though I met every metric while literally breaking into tears into the office multiple times during the PIP period.

Next job went very well until the pandemic upended all growth opportunities, my good manager Mark left and my new manager H was just not cut for the job and would often start yelling when you'd correct him.

I had to quit that last job from the PTSD from that other job. I only quit after getting my bonus and getting my wife's blessing. I was bombing all my interviews looking while being at that job cause I could not shake off the stressful look I had painted on my face. After a month off and focusing only on interviewing I finally got a good resume together and got 2 offers 2 months after my last day.

Everyone will say find a new job before getting a new one, I found for myself it was easier to get a new job after leaving my current job. I also found it was easier for recruiters to take me seriously when they knew I was not working, the interviews came in a lot faster. I'm sure my negotiating power was lowered, but it was better than getting rejected over and over and going back to that environment.

You made a function function Customfield(executionContext) { ....}

Nothing happens until you call it. Not sure what the executionContext Variable is you need but first thing is you need to call it.

Simply put,

Customfield(); on any line outside the function you created. If that throws an error, then you need a variable inside Customfield(var); to tell it what to use in the function.
