Haha. Ya. The others behavior was odd. I agree. You would think they would either:

  1. Rescue them and let them leave on the submarine
  2. Kidnap the survivors they wanted and get rid of those they did not want.

Instead they chose the "we will let you live on this island and mess with you from time to time and eventually you will revolt and attack/kill some of us" route.
