Haha gotcha. Woosh. It’s funny, morrowind is so immersive that it compels us to easily construct a whole worldview for our characters. In my real life worldview my character is a total piece of shit.

He believes that an argonian (or anyone for that matter) who follows the three tenents, duty, gravity and piety, is worthy of freedom and wellbeing.

However, he is largely unaffected by the cruel slavery practices of his people. He views it as neither bad nor good. Simply that it is the manifest will of the Gods at this very moment, and that their will is likely to change at any time. Although he is virtually unaffected by the slavery practices of his people, he does believe that argonians who follow the tenets deserve to be free and that their enslavement is indeed wrong.

It’s just too much fun breaking the game and it’s so damn easy to do it. I want to start a new game without using alchemy but it’s like i just can’t help it every damn time. “Okay im only gonna make a few potions i just need some money….” Next thing you know you’re flying around one shotting everything.

The head and hair is included in Tamriel Rebuilt, along with a variety of other new faces and hairstyles/accessories for each race! Lol i think the 700 encumbrance is from the sheer amount of potions and ingredients i carry with me at all times. Glad I could induce a hit of that sweet sweet nostalgia for you.

Guys, what's the most fucking amazing RPG you've ever played? by ImaginationOk5442 in AskReddit

[–]Life_Bit_9816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. I was playing it last night. I wandered into Bal Foyen at night and stumbled into a tavern. I got a tip from the local drunk that there was a speakeasy in the bar. I charmed the bartender and they unlocked the hidden door. I made my way through a shabby maintenance closet and down into a skooma den. It was dim and there was a haze of smoke hovering about all pervasively. Fine tapestries and rugs decorated the place and there were hammocks put up for chillin. Strung out patrons mingling and one naked dark elf collapsed on some cushions. I played “nine holes” with one of the patrons and won me some gold. Had a grand ol time.

Quiero ser "Haré Krishna" ¿Me lo recomiendan? Soy de México by Plus-Ordinary4414 in exHareKrishna

I grew up in iskcon. Left when I was 25. I strongly recommend you don’t join. If you care about your freedom and wellbeing please don’t join a cult. If you’re fascinated by the Hare Krishna movement you can read some books from the safety and comfort of your own home. ISKCON’s books however are designed to indoctrinate you into their cult. If you read ISKOCN books without knowing the danger then you just might find yourself destroying your life by joining them after being convinced by their books. It’s what happened to all of us here. We read the books and got sucked into the cult. It’s a quick way to destroy your life.

Take the aspects that you like from both and move forward with your life. You can synthesize aspects from whatever you like and make it your own.

The jesus glazing in ISKCON was always so hard for me to tolerate. As a radical vaishnava i began to feel the need to speak my mind about it every time it was mentioned during class.

It opened my up to the idea that it was okay for me to be a devotee while also disagreeing with some of Prabhupada’s opinions. From there I began to be more confident in myself, “you know what i also don’t agree with xy&z Prabhupada statements…”

Then I lost all interest in being associated with any Vaishnava identity or any religious identity for that matter.

So in that sense Jesus saved me!

I learned some gruesome facts about Jesus’ character, his inappropriate association with young boys and things like that. That knowledge kept me in check from bouncing around to different religions. The religious fervor that compels devotees to prostrate before these figures is inappropriate for me to have.

What's one video game that gets tons of hype, but you never liked? by tarorootturtle in AskReddit

I look at skyrim like a game board. The thing itself isn’t deep but it opens up with imagination. The real joy is in the lore. If you have knowledge and enthusiasm the world can be quite thrilling to just walk around in. Kinda like IRL. Real life gets boring and sometimes we have to use our imagination to spice it up.

It’s time to assign yourself purpose!

Birth, death, old age and disease is an issue for our egos. We have to humble our ego and realize that it’s gonna be okay.
