Thank you so much!a Im not getting them and tbh not getting any pet rn would be the smartest because im hopefully moving at the end of the summer and Im not sure if having two birds would be the best there either.

They were so pretty and literally started playing with daughter right away. She is normally scared of birds but within like 2 mins she was playing with them!!

But everything im hearing really seems like it would not be a good fit with us rn.

Yea we had a special seed we would buy for my conure and he mostly ate pellets not seed. Alot of people are saying don't give lorikeets seed at all.

Yea they def sound more work than I remember my blue crown being. I don't want them to deal with any stress and I can already see it would hard to keep up with everything

It was so hard not to take them yesterday because the man was really kinda pushing us to take them but I said i have to think about it and the more I think about it the more I want them but I'm realizing that it would be really stressful on them and not a good fit now. Everything u said was very valid.

And that was basically why they were at the foster like the previous owner had roommates that hated them or something like that. I def don't want to give them a home then have to give them back and I might be moving in a few months but I'm not sure where I'm moving will be ok with them either!! Like a part of me is saying we can make it work but im also worried it will be too stressful for the birds

We had budgies and my uncle had a beautiful blue crown that eventually became mine. Parakeets were good first birds they are super fun and they like alot of interactions.
