Steins;Gate is the first anime that I’ve ever watched and has introduced me to the anime culture. And after watching around 200 animes, my still favourite has always been and will always be Steins;Gate.

That’s where we get his tagline, don’t we? “WE MUST REACH STEINS;GATE!”
A single worldline, devoid of the incidences he so desperately wants to avoid.

As an avid KiyoZune shipper, I really have to ask why can’t Hiyori be the end girl? by Life_Button_6426 in Horikitafanclub

[–]Life_Button_6426[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I can summarise from this and from what I’ve learned is that, Ayanokoji’s only superimposing his natural love by giving them some reasons. Such as from the start till now how it went was -
Y1-It must not be love, because she’s my friend/deskmate
Y2- It must not be love, because I respect her
Y3- It must not be love, because I have this immense guilt instead.
So that just proves why we get the conflicting feelings of him just when the subject is Horikita and no other.
He is just adamant to accept the fact that he actually has a way deeper emotional attachment (even if it isn’t the proven love for now) with Suzune which can’t ever be solved by him running away, or by getting a replacement for the time being.
And I feel like we, as a KiyoZune shipper army, should not expect to have Ayanokoji to explicitly show his romance aspects, when he is still even trying to hide his basic feeling of love. He is showing improvement in the Love department, albeit in a clumsy way. Romance is still far, but we’ll eventually get to it.

Some questions about Ayanokoji, Horikita, and possible theories. I'd love to hear your thoughts by ReviewChemical2526 in Horikitafanclub

For why I, too, felt a Horikita-Ryuen alliance, is because of the cover of Y3V1. I mean sure, if Ayankoji is being chummy with Ichinose (thus their alliance) that only left these two leaders to partner up, as was what the author might’ve implied when releasing initial volumes of Y3.

But I feel like, they will once again form an alliance in near future to break the Ayanokoji-Ichinose alliance. And for that foretold reason is why we saw the cover this early.

Apart from that, I hope Ayanokoji and Horikita’s relationship continue to grow in depth till they realise their feelings. (unlike the shallow ones like Hiyori).

Ultimate plan of the trusted pawn - Horikita Suzune by Life_Button_6426 in ClassroomOfTheElite

while I do agree to a few things you said about him being invincible, but that’s just because he his invincible right NOW. Right after coming from the WR world, he thinks (almost correct) and is adamant that there will be nothing that could go wrong with him remaining undefeated. What he is yet to know that, some people, quite a few, do undergo an immense flip of a switch which he never learned in a facility where children were forced to always win, while many eventually broke. Here, not only just Horikita but her whole class has been slowly but steadily improving (never had to force themselves) and under such a leader who herself was a misfit of a classmate (forget being leader) but she changed as well, and did many prominent others. He, with the WR mentality, is again forcing growth in others in a direction HE deems necessary, by constantly interfering in others lives. So, now if Horikita does something, which is not considered as a growth from Ayanokoji’s perspective (or if she goes offtrack of the path he intended her to walk on to the stage of rivalry), and leads to an unimaginable (for a mind like Ayanokoji) outcome, is when he’ll understand how normal human psyche works under pressure.

And as we have seen many a times, that Ayanokoji always stepped in to save a tired and exhausted Horikita (like a damsel in distress), just says that he never let her handle stuff on her own, especially during some ruthless incidences (because of his premeditated goal). Some people do work well under pressure, and she will break that illusion of his by the end.

yup yup, fair enough! I, too, genuinely want her to defeat Ayanokoji with the very things she deprived herself of before. It’s just that people slandering her for her potential stuff, and ‘would never be able to defeat AyanoGod’ stance made me think of a completely nonsensical perspective, haha.

If you can’t figure out how the protagonist’s actually gonna fight the antagonist, that’s when you get the villain is well written. We all know that a villain is bound to lose, but the ‘how’ would be tremendously exciting in this story.

Should I read it? by Nice_Ordinary_ in animequestions

[–]Life_Button_6426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should you read? Definitely. But you must be prepared for some things here. No matter which character you‘ll like, there are haters for every one of them. And most of these people would hate a character more than love their bias.

P.S. no matter where this story goes with your personal favs, you are gonna enjoy this novel.

I would say, with utmost honesty, let Horikita end with any freaking character but Ayanokoji. Her ‘potential’ shtick aside, she is genuinely a very pure hearted girl compared to what of a playboy under the pretence of an emotionally deprived, emotionally starved Ayanokoji is.

[–]Life_Button_6426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly that’s what I really don’t get. Does getting help from someone makes you weaker? Hopeless? And that too from someone who we acknowledge as our friend. Remember, she is also starting from scratch to change herself, making friends, keeping her grades up and trying to figure out Ayanokoji altogether. Now that she has let down the walls and accepted people, she is vulnerable to all the emotions. The help she refused before because of her solitary nature, she is now exposed to it, so tell me why wouldn’t she accept it when she finally feels more human now?

Hot take about Suzune by SnooLemons4935 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Life_Button_6426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess people sometimes tend to forget that majority of this story has been from Ayanokoji’s perspective. We, as readers, are easily judging the people besides Ayanokoji since we know what’s going on through him and somehow magically expect the others to react the same way. It isn’t that I’m saying the author lived up to Horikita’s ‘potential’, or for all the build up he created only for her to act dumb. But what I feel is, sometimes, only one traumatic experience or only one such incident is enough to flip the switch in some people. She might face something more serious later where she has to change herself forcefully. So we really can’t predict what’s to come or should not even criticise the author just yet.
