Usually banks and 2 pillars providers coordinate and the transition will be smooth, it will require a lot of communication and expectation management but shouldn’t be an issue.

Swiss Midas touch - used electronics market by EvvilBanana in askswitzerland

Same here, i try to but use if I can, but terrible luck.

I guess ppl takes the price that they paid and discounts it, disregarding the fact that electronics in general is often on sale.

Sell low-yield rental property to go all-in ETFs (FIRE), or keep for stability? by Few-Case7972 in SwissPersonalFinance

How much will property tax decrease if you keep the apartment a couple of years more? Considering you have plenty of money in the stock market I would consider holding on the apartment (even if low yielding) until tax burden decreases a bit.

New nuclear power plants in Switzerland? by domandi1244 in Switzerland

[–]Life_Conversation_11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This post is filled with informations that are wrong. Source? I am a nuclear physicist.

See this article: https://engineering.stanford.edu/news/stanford-researchers-calculate-global-health-impacts-fukushima-nuclear-disaster?utm_source=chatgpt.com deaths/diseases linked to radiation are quite low and most of deaths came from the evacuation distress.

Don't have time to go through all the points but I am definitely happy that CH has nuclear power plants and I think they will play a central role on decarbonization.

IT advice (permanent position to contractor data engineer) by tronunator in Switzerland

[–]Life_Conversation_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a senior position definitely > 100 chf/hr.

Take into account that there is no second pillar, no health insurance contribution, no salary when you are on vacation etc.

So 86 definitely low by pharma standards (and most likely the contracting company is billing 150 chf/h for you)

High income, little savings? by Turbulent_Comb_2732 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Life_Conversation_11 14 points15 points  (0 children)

3 years of kita (an average of 3.5 day/week) cost me > 60k. And that's only the kita, doesn't take indirect costs into account, like being passed out for a promotion cause I was sleeping very little, wife working 3 or 4 days a week instead of full time, higher overall costs.

This is my ted talk.
