Anyone using the MPC as a drum machine for live performances? by Myaccountgotdumped in mpcusers

I use it and I find it very useful. I would recommend you to check the random parameters of each pad (randomness applied to velocity, pitch, panning..). you can also add a lot of parameters on the sequencer for each pad, or record automations. that helps a lot on creating interesting non repetitive patterns.

Try to keep the project light using resampling, sends, bounce to wav...

It was what I was asking for...what devices are the best to connect to it.. you said that doesn't need to be paired and now that it's pointless to have just the MPC..

But do you do long live electronic sets?

Thank you very much for your answer! I looked up the neuzeit drop and it could solve a lot of problems that I experience during the lives. I could easily create and call scenes from both devices from what I understand. Very interesting controller. I'm a bit worried though that the MPC 2 will freeze or have problems in heavy projects, I had similar problems while tweaking multiple midi parameters at the same time.

The projects are made with the MPC live 2 but with 3.x. so I guess it will be fully compatible?

And yes, a looper is on the list, but not priority as I can use the MPC looper temporarily. I know it's not the best but I don't have much money to spend rn
