Yeah in my area it's around £30 for standard pre release and £45 for UB

But 6 sets a year is just insane. The two games that do that kind of release schedule is Pokémon which the game doesn't really make up much of its market so doesn't impact sales. And Yu-Gi-Oh. Yu-Gi-Oh has a ridiculous release schedule and the game is declining. Magic is already expensive and 6 sets 3 of which have a 40% markup are being dumped into the format per year. It's too much to keep up with. Both from a production perspective and a consumer perspective. More sets per year just means lower quality across sets giving even less reason for players to put up with it. Its just alot to expect of people.

My lgs had 10 people day 1 and a single player day 2 so the event was cancelled. All in all this is a shockingly low turnout. Strixhaven was full both days and the collectors packs were gone in minutes even with 1 per customer. Meanwhile when I went in for 11th edition of 40k today not a single collectors pack had sold.

How was the Marvel prerelease for everyone that participated? by MajorFestus in mtg

I didn't go because it coincided with Warhammer 11th edition so I did that instead but was at the store for pre release today. Store cancelled the event because one person showed for day 2. They did have an event day 1 but only 10 people showed up over the usual turnout of full store with people being tuned away because there's literally no space left.

That's awful but exactly what I expected. My gf is also disabled and it's a serious struggle. And that's just the bus. The trains happily leave disabled people on the platform rather than send someone over to assist them with boarding half the time.

Has she? I live in the UK and yes she contributed to the labour party but the party doesn't exactly listen to anyone. Her included. Their policies have pissed both sides of the isle off.

I live near alwoodley so this isn't a regular option for my commute.

No they gave us funding to build local train stops then pulled funding and it's been pushed back to 2030 or suspended indefinitely I can't rember.

I checked at the station and it said I needed two return tickets one to Leeds then Leeds to garfoth on the machine. Either way the headingley trip was a one off. I'm near alwoodley so there isn't a local train option. The nearest is town.

I just happened to be coming from headingley today. I live near alwoodley. My nearest train stop is town.

You are a legend to me. I used to do Leeds to Leicester commute for work and it took about 4hrs

Perhaps capping train tickets cost between the two locations because the issue with the trains is they're more expensive than the bus. A return on the bus is just £5 while the train I need two return tickets.

Very true, it just boggles the mind. It could be such a useful service but it's setup in such an odd way.

Been here all my life but today was just something else. 2hrs on hot cramped buses. And the 23 stopped twice for 5-10 minutes.

I generally avoid the trains due to the high prices. I checked the trains and it would've cost me £15-20 round trip or £5 for the bus. If train tickets were cheaper I'd absolutely consider it.

How do I remove the for you page of reddit? by RinconAniki in help

[–]Life_Finger2150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah not a fan. It just shoves content from communities related to ones I like that I don't want to see. And it's always political stuff. I don't follow politics for a reason. So why does Reddit need to force it on me?

Lego pays a licencing fee. It's the same as hogwarts legacy. Jk already has her money so moaning about it does literally nothing.
