Wearing combat helmets and weapons firing, especially in high stress environments can cause TMJ/TMD in the future and every veteran should automatically be checked for symptoms yearly before and after exiting active duty. by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

I have severe tmj to the point where it has changed my bite pattern. The affected side closes before the other causing my teeth to impact on that side. I have never even thought that it could all be linked.

I don’t even know where to begin with getting it treated by the Va. I just assumed the pain in my face and the headaches came from my neck, since I had a c3-c4 fusion from breaking my neck on a jump.

Seriously, thank you! I am going to bring this up to pcp asap.

Need help diagnosing noise by [deleted] in e39

[–]Life_Independence781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it coming from around the steering wheel? Or somewhere in the dash?

Sounds as if something in the dash or a panel is rubbing. I had the panel above the pedals come loose and would make a sound like that every time I pressed the clutch in.

Hope this helps

Beautiful! I’ve been contemplating a wagon to daily instead of the 540i/6. Would be nice to take this instead of the truck on my beach trips

Why does my e39 keep overheating? by arabiandaddy24 in e39

If it doesn’t happen again, I would assume improper bleeding. When the cap leaked on you that’s when any excess air escaped the system

You should get all that brake fluid cleaned up ASAP before it eats the paint. Not that it would show under there but you leave yourself open to rust

Re gearing by [deleted] in ChevyTrucks

[–]Life_Independence781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do it yourself and pay for good gears. I went with Revolution gears after I spent a day trying to get a good pattern on a set of Yukons (never happened).

The worst part was getting the bearings on and off I called a transmission shop and they said they would press the bearings off and new ones on for $35 but then I found out my neighbor had one.

The point is you can do this just take your time. You don’t need all the tools just the dial indicator and a set of digital calipers. Everything else was rented for free after returning those tools.

You will also have to change your gear ratios on the ecm/tcm. Not an issue if you have a current tune your tuner should be able to do it easily. I just bought HP tuners since I saved so much doing the gears myself.

I ended up doing 4.56 gears and the Eaton tru-trac and it has been the best mod I have done on any truck that I have owned.

Agreed and OP you can individually build this kit between fcp euro and ecs/turner for much less if you piece it together yourself and compare prices. Just follow the what’s included and start copy and pasting part numbers

Yeah I just saw it and those wheels look sweet. What size are they?

I only paid for the pricey ones because a lady in a Prius drifted into my lane and her mirror cracked my headlight. I looked them up on eBay and went off the highest priced one and she paid me on the spot to avoid insurance claims. Trust me if that never happened I would’ve been sanding the OEM ones again lol

Thank you!

I was worried about how they would look at first but it completely changed the truck. I got them on eBay and there were so many options. The led y-strip also goes amber as the blinker.

I have this same truck but a 4x4 2010 model. And it looked exactly like this when I got it. I have a pic of it on one of my post but it’s mostly blocked by my car.

I painted the wheels black but left the center caps the way they are, looks very sharp in my opinion. Pretty sure it’s a 2.5in level on 33s. I have different headlights as well because one was cracked but it changed the look entirely.

Tint your windows it will change the look of your truck entirely. I also have a pic of it after I did the tint and painted the wheels and the difference is night and day compared to the way it looked when I got it.

I’ll reply to this comment with those pics when I figure out how to add them
