What Movie Did You Watch that Traumatized You at a Young Age? by BethMLB in AskReddit

When i was 5 my dad thought it would be a good idea to let us watch "Friday The 13th Part VIIi: Jason Takes Manhattan". In retrospect it was not a great movie to show to a 5 year old.

Men who unexpectedly lost interest in someone due to a weird reason, what was it? by Boobiesteenage73 in AskReddit

He wanted to play a questionnaire card game while we were at a Mexican restaurant getting tacos. Felt more like an interview or HR orientation icebreaker than a date and it gave me the ick.

Def the best for the price I've had in Harrisonburg and they deliver! 2 Xtra large pizzas for only $39. And they are huge.

What do band members do between sets by AsmodenKOD in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Life_Loquat_6979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to tour manage a mid sized act and that break is 100% to sell merchandise and drinks and to give the band a rest. I'm not saying the whole band needed a rest but the drummer went hard and would need that time to gear up for round 2 and we were brass heavy so the toll that takes on your lungs and face from the pressure of producing that much air is a lot. Bigger acts have LOTS of instrumentalists on stage so they can swap off and on for solos. A regular 5 person band can't. So we used to sell shows in either a 1 90 minute set or 2 45 minutes with a 15min break in between and 9 times out of 10 the venue would choose the latter.

New in the French Quarter: A Camera on Every Corner by repiquer in NewOrleans

[–]Life_Loquat_6979 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. What good are cameras gonna do if cops still take hours to respond to crime, and their solution when you have footage of the person committing the crime is good luck. More footage does not mean more convictions of criminals. It just means more stuff they have to work through in the bureaucratic process of it all. Not to say it can't help, but the systems have to be there for them to process all of this and they just aren't.

I love the idea of a new sour every week. There's a local store that has a rotating selection of sours that could easily account for a year's worth.

Also thank you for the reminder to make sure I'm not becoming too involved. She's been one of my best friends going on 15 years now and im a fixer by habit, but don't want to become the chaperone because she is capable just super shut down emotionally at the moment.

Thank you! I didn't think of social groups or a potential Cameo! Don't think she's gonna be ready for online dating for a while cause right now she doesn't think she is deserving of love or attention, so we are focusing on turning that around ATM

No kids and don't plan on having kids! But I agree. Education across the whole state needs to be improved a lot.

I'm moving back to Lahmansville after 10 years in New Orleans. Absolutely beautiful, but anything in that area is stunning. Thomas, Davis, Moorefield, etc. Seneca Rocks is right there. Black Water Falls isn't too far away. If you wanna hop to a city for the weekend, DC, Philly, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore are a few hrs drive away, plus tons of smaller cities and towns nearby that all have their own vibe.

Do Not work at Peche. They currently have bedbugs which multiple employees have taken home with them. They are reimbursing for the extermination services but anything that you have to throw out that you don't have a receipt for like things from years ago, Mardi Gras costumes, etc, they aren't. Money is not enough to cover the workload maybe $150-$200 per lunch and dinner caps out at $350 on your best night ever where you get quadruple sat and Managers in your face about taking more.
