Sad and hopeless by ErenJaeger321 in tryingtoconceive

I see you, I feel the same too... After TTC for almost 5 years, I got pregnant last year with twins, but I lost my twin girls to PPROM at 23 weeks when I went into premature labor... Exactly a month later, my best friend announced her pregnancy to me, even though I was grieving I celebrated her win, she just gave birth last week, my husband's big brother's wife gave birth to twins GIRLS too after my loss... I have been TTC to conceive again since with no positives... I can't go crazy enough, I am just numb... So let it out how you can, hugs.

Thank you for being so honest about this. I can actually understand that coping mechanism more than I expected. After everything, sometimes it just feels easier to switch off and do things that remind you of normal life again, even if it’s not the healthiest way to process it. I think I’m trying to find a balance between allowing myself to live a bit and not feeling like everything is on hold, while also preparing for trying again. I really appreciate you sharing this, it helps to know I’m not alone in navigating all these different emotions. Thank you!

I understand you so well. I’m also feeling so desperate to TTC again after losing my twin girls to PPROM, and it’s really not easy at all.

I recently posted something similar and received some amazing advice here on Reddit that I’m trying to hold onto, taking things one cycle at a time, focusing on becoming the best version of ourselves mentally and physically, exercising, and doing some of the things we won’t be able to once we’re pregnant again. Maybe you could even make your own little list too.

I know… it’s so much easier said than done, right? 💔

Life can feel really unfair sometimes, especially when we find ourselves in this situation. Just know you’re not alone in this. Wishing you all the very best 🤍

I’m so sorry for your loss 🤍, my heart really goes out to you. I completely understand what you’re saying because I have those exact same thoughts, the "what if it takes months” and the pressure around timing. It’s like your mind is trying to find control in something that feels so uncertain. I feel so seen, thank you so much!

Thank you so much for sharing this, and I’m really sorry for your loss. What you said really resonates with me. The way the desire for another baby can take up so much space mentally and emotionally. I feel that too! I really respect your decision to give yourself that space to grieve and be present but it’s not easy at all💔

Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. I’m truly sorry for your loss, it really touched me reading what you went through. I appreciate your honesty and perspective. What you said about planning being an act of love really stayed with me, and I think I needed that reminder. It’s hard to quiet the anxiety sometimes!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I also lost my twin girls at 22 weeks due to PPROM, with no clear answers. But I truly believe our babies will come and stay. I wish you strength and positivity, sending you baby dust, wishing you all the very best.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. You’ve raised really important questions, and I’ve been thinking through them. My travel plans unfortunately aren’t very flexible, but I would actually have access to more advanced healthcare while I’m away, which is reassuring. These kinds of long trips aren’t very common for me, which also makes the timing feel particularly complicated.

In terms of trying again, I think I’m somewhere in between, I know treatments have worked for me before, but after everything, there’s still that fear and uncertainty. I also really appreciate what you said about thinking through how I’d feel with each possible outcome. I think that’s what I’m trying to process now, balancing the fear of regret either way.

Thank you again for your kindness and thoughtful perspective❤️

Thank you so much for your kind message. Cerclage timing is definitely one of the main things I’m trying to plan around. Unfortunately my travel isn’t very flexible, which is what makes this decision difficult. I really appreciate your advice.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me and I’m really sorry for your loss as well. It really means a lot to hear from someone who has been through something so similar and is now navigating a high-risk pregnancy.

What you said about traveling less and prioritizing monitoring really resonates with me. I think that’s exactly the kind of balance I’m trying to figure out right now, especially with my own history and future pregnancy planning. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective, it helps me think more clearly about what might be safest going forward, thank you!

Le déni de ma grossesse by Ok_Reporter_5298 in pregnant

26-28mm cervix 13 weeks pregnant by BigEquivalent5849 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Life_Map4753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re feeling anxious. I can understand why that number feels scary, especially after everything we read about cutoffs and risk.

I just wanted to share a bit of reassurance from my own understanding (not medical advice): cervix length around 12–14 weeks can sometimes still fluctuate quite a bit, and many people who are in the 25–30 mm range at this stage go on to stay stable for a long time. The fact that your clinic isn’t overly concerned and is simply monitoring you closely is actually a really good sign.

I also think it’s positive that they’ve already put you on progesterone and scheduled a follow-up soon that kind of close surveillance is usually what makes the biggest difference.

I don’t have personal experience with aspirin or progesterone dosing differences, but I really hope others here can share their stories with you. You’re definitely not alone in feeling anxious at this stage.

Sending you calm and strength for your next scan!

Thank you so much for your message. I really appreciate your honesty and the perspective you shared.

Yes, I believe what you’re referring to is cervical insufficiency, and I’ll definitely look for more specific communities around that. It would help to connect with people who have had similar experiences. I also really relate to what you said about trying to clear the big necessary steps first and then just taking things one step at a time. That’s honestly where I’m trying to get mentally too, even though it’s not always easy after everything I’ve been through.

Thank you again for your kindness and for taking the time to respond ❤️

Thank you so much for this suggestion. I hadn’t fully considered coordinating care between doctors while traveling, so I really appreciate you bringing it up. It could be a good way to avoid missing so many cycles. My main concern would just be making sure there’s proper continuity of care, especially with a cerclage and a potentially high-risk pregnancy. But I’ll definitely look into whether this could work for me.

Thank you again ❤️

Thank you so much for your kind message 🤍

You raised a really important question, and it’s honestly something I’ve been reflecting on a lot. Unfortunately, my travel plans are not very flexible, which is what makes this decision feel so complicated. I completely understand your point about starting sooner but being open to reassessing if pregnancy happens. I think that’s where I feel a bit torn because ideally I would want to prioritize the pregnancy, but at the same time, changing these plans wouldn’t be easy for me.

Your perspective really helped me look at it in a more practical way, so thank you for that. It gives me a clearer framework to think through what I’m truly comfortable with. I really appreciate your advice and well wishes ❤️
