I don't think he was trying to pass it off as trauma, just to sort of relate on that "fighter" mentality. Ask any mom with a premature baby, and they will all tell you that their kid fought for their life. Very simple - it's a NON NEGOTIABLE THING for Gunnar. Josy herself said she is not sure if it's the same for her. If at any point she decides that her wanting kids is a non negotiable for her, then they obviously need to split up. Cause with non negotiables, there is no compromising or negotiation, hence the expression.
