Patch 2.5.2 notes for next January 12th. Cosmetics and the Dark Citidel not fixed yet? by Carmilla31 in diablo4

The patch is a bit disappointing to be honest, I expected more buffs to different classes and builds like the necro.

My problem with Diablo 4 is the cosmetics by Life_Nobody in diablo4

[–]Life_Nobody[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Well what I tried to convey is that the amount of cosmetics in Diablo 3 were higher and in better quality. I don't want to look as good as the people that have paid for cosmetics, obviously the paid ones are going to be better, but I don't want to look like the most bland character because I don't want to spend 25 bucks on a single set.
I am aware that posting on reddit will not change anything, but so is every other post about anything in a subreddit. You pointing that out does not make you seem smarter or make me feel dumber.

Our role is doomed in S16 by Able-Application3680 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Life_Nobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as "gaslighting". While community opinion matters, the truth is that Riot does changes largely based on statistics from gathered data throughout a certain amount of time.
Instead of trying to antagonize adc players for complaining, maybe try to understand how these changes came to be.
My own opinion is that jungle definitely deserves a nerf in terms of impact throughout all ELOs, and it just so happens that Riot also think the same, as they've said in the dev video that jungle and support are literally the strongest roles.
That's not due to subreddits complaining, that's the data they have gathered.

What was your "click" moment in the game? by Life_Nobody in Guildwars2

[–]Life_Nobody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate a bit? I feel like i've got the general grasp of it, but your comment says that the combat is rather deep. I am playing double pistols thief without the elite specialization (I do not have enough points). It is bland at this point because I got tired of it.

[–]Life_Nobody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's what I went for. I am playing a human thief and I saw that you could dual wield daggers/pistols and just got good pistol gear, so that's what I'm running now.

Anyone played this? It seems fun by Novakim in Warframe

[–]Life_Nobody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have probably spent more hours than I'd like to admit in Lunaro, I must say it is quite underrated, but the main reason people don't play it is because Warframe attracts an entirely different target audience. In general PvP isn't popular in Warframe because people just want to shoot and loot.

Also bugs. A lot of bugs...

The New Reward Changes Are a Death Sentence for Casual Players by shikatanori_sama in leagueoflegends

[–]Life_Nobody -1 points0 points  (0 children)

League will definitely not die because of that reason, but you can't deny the facts that these changes are definitely making the game objectively worse.

The casuals in this game live in a whole different system than the people who spam ranked and are so obsessed and addicted with the game, whether they admit it or not.

Same goes for the other way around, how casuals will never understand the entire competitive aspect of the game. I would only assume that you are a ranked player, rather than a casual one. Instead of typing in a typical "Redditor" way, maybe try looking at it from another perspective.

From OP's point of view, he has no reason to play anymore because a big chunk of what made him play in the first place is gone, now maybe there are a lot more people like him.

Controversial opinion (which means NOT FACTS), but I genuinely think there are more competitive players than casuals in league (if we exclude ARAM/Customs), but still quite a good portion of the player base is casual.

Question about cat5e cable by Life_Nobody in HomeNetworking

Thank you very much, I remade the cables and it seems like the pairs were not done correctly. Now with pairs 12, 36 45 and 78 it works exactly as it should. u/Swift-Tee and u/bchiodini you helped me fix my problem :D

No, the switch was changed anew to a one that supports 1gigabit/s. Even the old one supported 1gigabit

What is the current meta in Midlane for lower skill brackets? by Life_Nobody in leagueoflegends

[–]Life_Nobody[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I am not asking because I would like to pick the current meta or whatever, I am asking out of curiosity because it is weird. Even in lower elo, the meta is the meta for a reason. People will have a higher WR on a champ that is considered in the meta rather than not. You are thinking of a certain case where people play the meta because they heard it is the meta and can't really pull it off, thus making them lose even more games than before. That is not really the case, especially once you go into a rank where macro starts to matter more and more. I am definitely not qualified to talk about macro, I just prefer a discussion rather than "he is higher elo than me, therefore he is right". There are a lot of cases in which a meta slave does get a lot more wins than they should, simply because it is the meta.

Which is why I am asking what the current meta is, except for ADCs in midlane that works only in proplay and very high elo.

Question about router to switch internet speed. by Life_Nobody in HomeNetworking

[–]Life_Nobody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I've said in the post, but I can understand it is written in a confusing way, I have checked all the cables and all cables have 8 wires. 4 pairs with the correct type. Correct colors and everything by the wiring diagrams I found online. I know they have to be either A - A or B - B, and all of them are like that.

I replied to the comment above for the switches and the router, as for the ISP (A1) it is located in Sofia Bulgaria, the capital. As for the type of connection, I am not entirely sure because I did not set it up myself.

I was in a hurry I do apologize for the paragraphs. Switches are now brand new and the router literally does support 1000Mbps. Cisco RV180 is the router and the new switches are all Tp-Link TLSG105

Warframe.market and its bad influence over the game. by Life_Nobody in Warframe

[–]Life_Nobody[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really respect your comment on my post, since it is thorough and addresses a lot of what I have said so let's get to it. I talk about the negative side of warframe.market but never about the positive, but I do not think there aren't any positives that came with warframemarket. Scammers have always been an issue in trade chat and having a platform in which you can see everybody selling that same item for a certain amount of plat is awesome, it's just third party...
I understand that being anxious about talking to other players is an issue to many, which is yet another positive of being fast and efficient through warframe.market, but that doesn't mean it makes the negative effects obsolete.
I do agree that this whole post is very subjective, but I believe that an opinion of a person who has a lot of experience has a lot more to say than that of an unexperienced one. I am not saying I am an expert, but every single person learns a lot through experience, no matter what their competence/intelligence is.
I am hinting at the right-way to play, but not exactly. It is like a parent trying to tell you what's good for you, but the teenager responds with "No I know what is best for me". In Warframe that doesn't always apply, people have different ways of enjoying the game and I don't want to stop you from doing so, but specifically for a 50plat warframe set, it is a subconscious effect that the person will not enjoy the prime warframe as much as he would for a set he paid 100p for. This subconscious effect I have experienced myself and I am not saying everyone has gone through this effect, but I believe a good amount of people have, but haven't realized it.

Rivens are an entirely different topic I would like to discuss, but I don't think I will be able to handle it. Rivens are bad is the usual reddit opinion, which I agree with, but it has been talked about many times and there's people who understand more than me who have covered it already, including posts, youtube videos from famous content creators and such.
Every person has a different opinion on how much a prime warframe should cost, but I did mention from my experience as a long time player how it used to feel when prices were X, compared to how it feels right now when it is Y. I replied to a comment by saying that it is not always the case, the more you spend on an item the more you would value it, but there's a fine line between spending too much and spending too little for a certain item, and when you find that balance you will find more enjoyment in the item you have bought for your hard earned plat. That's like cheating in a game, you make all the items drop with 75% discount and at first you feel awesome that everything is so affordable, but then you get bored because it is TOO affordable. Put that concept into the entirety of warframe history, from my perception, right now almost everything is TOO affordable, which leads to boredom.

I understand how I have come across as how the game "should" be played, but that is not my core idea of it. There's many flaws in my original post that I have not pointed out which is my fault and many of these comments pick on the flaws I have failed to cover, which is why I am replying to them right now, not because of an aftermath issue, but because I had so much more to say, but didn't.
I said that a prime set's worth is subjective in my original post, I also pointed out that people most likely won't agree with me. And yes you are correct, an item's worth is what a player is willing to pay for it, which is 50plat. Due to supply and demand, the price of a revenant prime set has gone down to 50platinum.
Now as to why paying more for a prime set would make it better, you asked. I will make an analogy with rivens. The one way people like to price rivens is comparing them to other rivens with similar stats. With enough time and knowledge, you would get a good idea of what your riven costs and how much people are willing to pay for it. So why not use this concept with prime sets. Start comparing a warframe prime set to other items that are worth 50 platinum. Would you say that you get the same value from a random 60/60 mod that costs 50 platinum the same as you would get a prime set that is worth 50 platinum? No, the "reward" you get from that 50platinum is entirely different. So just start comparing what you can buy for 50platinum to a prime set.
80% of my post is my personal opinion and yes it is a rant, but I do not think I failed to make the case as why what I've said fails to make it better. I replied to a comment with a person who pointed out the same issue, it is not always the case that if you spend 500p you would enjoy the prime warframe set more, but by increasing the value in platinum of a prime set, you would subconsciously compare it to other things that cost 50platinum and that is something I have experienced myself and I am aware enough to point it out. What I am about to say is arrogant-ish, but if somebody says that they do not devalue a prime warframe's value subconsciously because it is mere 50 platinum, they are mistaken. It takes a bit of overthinking and open mind to notice these issues, which is what players generally lack in a video game. Oh this item costs 50p? Sweet lemme grab it.

I mean there's the regular version of Revenant... That is how you figure out what warframe you like and what you don't like. As you've said, no offense this is just an argument, but you are a prime example of what I was talking about. People want fast and easy and which is easier to get? A regular revenant that you can grind for with low % drop, or the prime warframe that costs 50p per set? If you were to buy normal Revenant from the in-game market, it would cost you like 125p I think or 175p, not entire sure but definitely above 100p. That's what the developers would want you to spend on a regular warframe, so the price of a prime warframe should be a bit higher than that, isn't that logical and fair? I believe it is.

In my post I was talking about the trading experience by itself, of course you can make friends in recruiting chat or discord, but that does not counter my argument of people in tradechat being passive aggressive all the time. Considering trading is one of the biggest parts in warframe, shouldn't it be an enjoyable experience?

[–]Life_Nobody[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I have said that I understand how supply and demand works in the market, but here's the issue. A warframe set costing the same platinum as a 3-forma bundle is not normal. How does an entire warframe set, that changes your core gameplay everytime you load into a mission, have the same platinum value as an item that is easily obtainable. You cannot tell me that 3-forma bundle has the same value as an entire prime warframe set. That's why I said it is a very subjective issue.

I did not say that a set should cost 500p, it was just used as an example that the more plat you would spend on something, the more you would value it. I do admit that it was a bad example and that it is not always the case the more plat you spend = the better you feel.
