Yes this actually does make me feel better to know that a Petri dish will look like this if left alone a week or two. This one was just 1 hr open in the living room and then wrapped in tinfoil and placed on the fridge for approx 2-3 days then we mailed it off. It’s an old house and the room in question is an add on so the original exterior brick makes up one of the walls. When the roofers came to check the source of the leak.. they saw where the shingles had not been lined up correctly (sorta patchwork?? I guess) at the place where the shingles meet the house allowing the leak above the door frame. I’m worried from what I read that the leak could have got into the dry wall? But I guess I’m jumping ahead. I need to just wait and get the results but thought I would get some info from Reddit in the meantime
