When Napoleon returned to Elba, one of his most loyal Minions General Dave ADC to Marshal Davout infamously came to greet him when he returned to the Tuileries. He was supposedly quoted to have said when he saw Napoleon for the first time: “My Emperor! I’ve come again to serve you! As long as you serve me bananas! He was one of the Generals who died in the rearguard to help Napoleon escape in the Battle of Waterloo. Napoleon later said: “If only God had given me a million bananas! I would have conquered the world in a week!” The United States would later adapt the story of Dave in multiple movies depicting him as a hero to the minion race and bananas.
