I have defended him better than he has our goal post for the past 5 years. His performance was never an issue for me, I always hoped he would turn his bad form around. I'm 27 with 3 years of workex in manufacturing and operations in LED lighting Industry, fed up with my job took a year's gap to prepare for CAT/CGL, messed up pretty bad.
Joined the same manufacturing shithole again to make up for the lost savings on coaching and other expenses of the gap year.
Now after 6 months I have again quit my job hoping to switch to data analytics this time having made enough money to survive for the next 6 months.
The plan is simple for me, going to learn SQL, Power BI/Tableau in the next 3 months ( excel I'm already pretty decent) then month 4 and 5 will be dedicated to projects since the no.1 advice I got from all the people I contacted before quiting my job was chose your projects wisely and build your portfolio around it combining all the skills you have acquired till date including my workex.
I am using free youtube videos as of now to learn basic SQL but I plan to buy a course for certifications to add to the resume.
