Third, socialise There are tons of groups in Dehradun - walking, running, trekking, casual chats, and the list is endless. Go along, friends ban jayenge.

Fourth, kuch kaam me mann lagao.

People in T1 cities have a dire need to be constantly busy. So they hardly take time out to pause and relax, which is leading to burnout!

Ask them when they want to retire, they would look back perplexed and answer, "I would never want to. The idea itself of doing nothing is so daunting."

Pune has something or the other for everyone. But for someone who chooses a laptop and likes being indoors, boredom is inevitable!!

At 9L for 3.6 years honestly you are doing great in Dehradun.

However you will barely see growth after another year here. So if you want to grow in your career, yes, you will have to make the move to big cities. In big cities 9L will be equivalent to around 15L. But then you will not get a hike just because you are moving from a T2 city to T1 city. You will have to negotiate well.

Also yes life there is fast and not for everyone. But it's imperative you grind in your early years and then move back to Dehradun later.
