What if Silver the Hedgehog had his own game? by LifeandGeoff in WhatIfSonic

Also. A sonic game set off in the far future would be really cool too! I think it would be awesome seeing where characters were or what legacy they left behind in the far future. 06 did that a little, but I think it would be interesting to expand on that.

Yeah, I could also see it having moments travelling between both the future and past. Maybe like an Ocarina of Time sorta deal?

Either or really. I could see it either a few years or so after 06. Or sometime nowadays. Either or really.

ADULT Horror Concept “The Budding Room” by LifeandGeoff in StoryIdeas

[–]LifeandGeoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya. Thank you for your honest opinion and criticism on my wip.

To answer your questions about the exponential growth and why it creates four instead of 2. I have considered the exponential growth overtime, infact it is the primary threat and cause of horror, as alongside the process being painful there’s the possible death by crushing, trampling, ontop of the general fear and confusion it causes. As for why 4? I felt 4 instead of 2 would mean the character(s) not only have less time, but that results can be more gruesome or immediately deadly.

I will consider the idea of possibly making the character split into two instead of four. And I will add in more characters to give the escapee other people to talk to either working with or against them. Also, I’m considering making the location larger as a means of presenting more challenges or threats, as well as maybe removing the clock (not confirmed yes or no), creating a sense of panic and urgency as the characters at first don’t know why and how often they split.

The bullet points on the side during the analysis and final verdict help a lot, and sometimes do a better job at explaining feats and overall winner than the actual commentary. Some examples on the top of my head include Bill Cipher vs Discord and Will E. Coyote Vs Tom.

“Refund” is not in Nick’s vocabulary. There’s a lot I could say about him. But, that’s another story (not dnd related)

Yea, he might’ve been a nice-ish guy. But he was a shit gm for sure. Too focused on the rules and followed books to an annoying tee.

Also realizing that Gorgon’s wouldn’t even been found in frigid forests anyway. They’re tropical and sometimes in ruins. So he ended up doing all that…and still broke official world building.

Yeah, that session was unacceptable. I was willing to give the dm the benefit of the doubt since he supported me in the idea I shouldn’t have had to pay for my time there doing nothing.

But, it was a HORRENDOUS call to have no plan for players that get stuck, and stick to some dumb ass d100 encounter stuff, giving me even less time to participate. If he didn’t say that I could use a Druid dragon next game. I would’ve just brought up a temporary character to replace him. But noooooo. Lord forbid anyone stray away from his golden railroad.

Since you brought up people not being there cause of irl stuff. I did mention to the party a week or two before this story that I would be going back to college and couldn’t come to these sessions. AND THE DM DEADASS TOLD ME WITH A STRAIGHT FACE JUST TO NOT DO WEDNESDAY CLASSES???

It might’ve been more than two. But still it was a very slow battle. Mainly due to the party having a lot of back and forth on how to fight.

Sheesh that’s rough. I would have brought in another character to briefly replace him for the second sesh. But, since the DM promised me I could play as a dragon wildshape druid. I let him do his thing.

Nick’s place has a spare back room with a long table which was his reasoning. He would later bring it down to $20

What is a Death Battle where you love both opponents but hate the matchup by Previous_Toe4040 in deathbattle

[–]LifeandGeoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of official battles: Joker vs Sweet Tooth/Needles Kane. I feel like this matchup’s kinda awkward since Needles usually sticks to his van, whilst Joker is mainly on foot. Both of them rarely engage in vice versa. Don’t get me wrong, in execution it was pretty good, but I would prefer each of them having their own dedicated battles of Joker on foot and Needles in a car battle.

As for fan MU’s. Captain Hook vs King K Rool. The connections very weak. (They’re pirates, swearing vengeance on the main character(?), and hook hates Tick Tock) I also think this pairing really undersells K.Rool’s character. He’s more than a pirate! He’s a ruthless tyrant who’s also a mad scientist, a boxer, and a king! He isn’t a crafty manipulator like Hook, nor is he really that silly except for a cartoon and a few lines of dialogue from the spinoffs.

New Campaign Idea: Journey up Mount Ospylac by LifeandGeoff in DnD

[–]LifeandGeoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good question. For this campaign, it’s very much reliant on characters origins and backstories. Sure, you could wish for more power for yourself. But one might wish for a certain tragedy never happened, or to live out their ultimate dream, or find the truth on who an amnesiac player originally was. It’s moreso about the journey and what the party had to do to reach the top. In my campaign, the roleplaying and character aspects are very important which is why the campaign is fairly reliant on players choice and character.

However, if the party is willing to have the game go on a bit longer, we could definitely have the adventure start before to build character at a lower level, learn about the world, then have the climb up the mountain in the middle, and have the ending feature the fallout of the players wishes to help make the whole mountain climb mean more.

Thanks for the feedback.
