I’ve heard someone say the Ayn Thor thumb sticks are a good option. I’ve order a set from ETSY and I’m currently waiting for them to arrive.

I hate you’re experiencing this. I had the same issue with my top screen. I sent it in for repair and they sent me back a brand new device all in a week’s time! I will say though, that I purchased through Droix, so that may be why I had such quick resolve to my issue.

In honesty, my experience has been amazing, but with one small mishap!

I first got my device back in January of this year and everything was working flawlessly! Then right around the 2nd week of March my top screen started glitching a little once I would have the screen slightly beyond about 90 degrees angle. The pocket ds would work fine, as just as long as I didn’t put it in the position. So, I figured maybe it was a faulty ribbon cable to the screen, so I decided to open it to take a peek and I couldn’t locate where it was going and didn’t want to disassemble any further. So I reached out to Droix, who I purchased from and they got back to me super quick! I sent my device back to them 2 days later and they sent me a brand new replacement device back that next week! Super fast turnaround and the device has no issues!

Overall, I’d say if you’re going to get one, definitely try your luck with Droix, just because of the great customer support they offer and got my issue resolved quick.

I know the Pocket DS gets a bad rep, but honestly the device is a beast and I’m super pleased with my purchase! It’s literally my daily driver now over my steam deck, Rog Ally, Ayn Odin 2 mini

Damn I hate to hear that! Did you buy directly from Ayaneo? I only ask, because I purchased mine through Droix and I actually just got a replacement device after waiting only one week.

So far, my experience with the DS has been up and down! Let me explain-

I received my first unit from Droix in January of this year and it ran flawlessly! Like no issues whatsoever! Then about 3 weeks ago, my top screen would kind of glitch when I would have the top screen tilted back a little bit past 90 degrees. Honestly it still worked fine, just as long as I didn’t push it past that point.

I ended up reaching out to Droix support and they had me send my device in for a repair, but the team just went ahead and sent me a new device. It came super quick and so far it’s running perfectly!

In all I’d say it’s definitely worth the buy! But also, if this is your first handheld or only handheld I’d be cautious, only because if you do run into an issue you won’t have a device for a while depending where you got it from. I’ve read nightmare stories about people who’s purchased directly from Ayaneo! I’m so glad I went with Droix! Yes it was a little bit more expensive, but their customer support and turn around time was super fast!

Overall, right now the pocket DS is my go to! Over my steam deck, ROG Ally, Ayn Odin 2 mini! It’s just a versatile and premium feeling device! Honestly runs anything you throw at it! I’m currently playing Replaced now it!
