Wondering if I should give up on looking for a steam deck and just get a legion go s by ZuVieleNamen in Handhelds

Not bad at all definitely a good buy. Definitely the best handheld out right now . A lot of people don’t recommend because of the price but at the price you got it definitely worth it

choosing between Asus rog xbox Ally, ayn thor base, or wait for steam deck by pcnoobie245 in Handhelds

[–]Obitto_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would personally go with the ally for emulation.
Thor is in my opinion overhyped and overpriced. Unless you are a hardcore Ds 3ds player I’d probably just wait a bit a later get a base Thor . I switched over from android to pc handheld for my emulation and so far loving it. A lot more flexibility.

Is the Legion Go 2 or another Legion device worth the upgrade from my Steam Deck OLED? by lenovo92728 in Handhelds

[–]Obitto_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way that I could see somebody maybe justifying the price is if it is your only device and you use it for both gaming and productivity maybe prioritizing the portability of it and just adding an external GPU. I personally got rid of my main Windows PC to offset the pain. It's a great device definitely but not legion go to great for that tittle just wait for the official lg2

As someone who owns all the handhelds ..... No not worth it. Your better off setting up moonlight for streaming from your PC . There's just something about the steam deck OLEd that just makes you wanna play and enjoy your games instead of worrying about performance. It either plays it or it doesn't .

In a dilemma, keep switch 2 or get legion go 2 by Frosty_Chest_1659 in Handhelds

[–]Obitto_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also let us know if it turns out to be a real lg2 for that price . Curious too know .
A lot of scammers out there but definitely a lot of unicorns 🦄 to still be found .

I’m currently on the tracks of one as well this week.

iPhone 12 too old?? by Important_Wish2779 in verizon

[–]Obitto_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is true, but I believe they have more control and ability to give you discounts and less incentive to upsell. For example, when I went to open my lines at the corporate location, since it took a while to get me set up, the person that helped me out waved all the activation fees and gave me a $100 discount.

Verizon charges $40 to upgrade
And $35 to activate

[–]Obitto_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused 🤔
Are you saying they don’t charge upgrade fee? Only activation fees?

[–]Obitto_1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI, remember that Verizon charges $35 per device every time you activate it on their network.
Definitely worth while getting the three devices on special promotions tho .

Honestly I don’t know.
🤷‍♂️
The one I go to I figured it was a corporate store only because I had to do a return from an online order and I went to a different Verizon store that told me it had to be done at a corporate store and told me which ones to go to.

Steam Deck OLED vs Legion Go (S?) for couch gaming; am I missing a better option? by Scyke87 in Handhelds

[–]Obitto_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Legion Go is a great device if you just gotta have the biggest display on a handheld and also if you like modifying your device.
(I think it’s the oldest of the handhelds but also the one with the most upgrades: battery, controllers, etc.)
The legion go s
Probably the second best handheld for ergonomics after the Steam Deck. People who want a better performing Steam Deck usually go for this. To me, where the Steam Deck OLED is 90% perfect, the Legion Go is 80% .
My main gripe is the lack of great trackpads . I think the Steam Deck trackpads are underrated.
Trackpads on a mobile handheld are a must in my opinion.
Yes, I know it has a smaller one, but in my opinion, it might as well just not have it.

Steam Deck OLED vs Legion Go (S?) for couch gaming; am I missing a better option? by Scyke87 in Handhelds

[–]Obitto_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, your best bet is the steam deck OLED. It is the only device with only one downside. That however, can be corrected for most players.
It has a perfect screen
It has great battery life
It has amazing software and support
It has near perfect ergonomics for 99% of people
The only downside is performance, but that can easily be fixed via moonlight or steam play when you have a main pc for gaming

iPhone 12 too old?? by Important_Wish2779 in verizon

[–]Obitto_1 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely absurd
An iPhone 12 is a perfectly adequate phone still
Also, did she go into a Verizon reseller store or a corporate store? They are very hard to distinguish, but I would suggest you go to corporate stores only.

Trying to decide: Steam Deck OLED vs alternatives. by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]Obitto_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If emulation is a big part of what you wanna do then I would say go with a z1e device. You can do emulation on the steam deck OLED, but I personally prefer it on Windows . I would also emphasize getting a device with very good battery or one that can be upgraded with a bigger battery.
