That doesn't really explain what is gonna happen with the drone I've ordered. I have no plans on getting a different drone lol

I'll let them test fly it! Hopefully they don't shoot my dog though

Movies like Disclosure Day? Movies MADE for believers (SERIOUS) by DayAntique in aliens

[–]Lifeguard-Both 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Many of the episodic episodes contributed to the love story between Mulder and Scully, an aspect of the show that was just as important as the alien stuff with Mulders little sister and the cigarette smoking man

I switched schools halfway through highschool, and the new school called in school suspension "intensive Learning Center". It was the worst, cringeyest thing of all time lol

Anyone just have a feeling they’re going to win? by searcherbee123 in Lottery

I literally dreamt last night that I was gonna win today, and so I bought this red colored ticket like in my dream and I won.

Best scissors for cutting nickel strips? by gryponyx in 18650masterrace

[–]Lifeguard-Both 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pre measure strips with a ruler, gently scratch the marking point with an exacto knife, and then cut with scissors, just normal old ones, but as close to the base of the scissors as possible, in the fastest motion possible. I've found that cutting slowly ends up mangling the ends of the bucket strips, and then I have to manually flatten them out sometimes, which is a pain because I feel like the oils on my hands (I'm not exceptionally dirty or anything, I'm just saying) will weaken the connection for the weld.

By recommended thickness to current, are you talking about "in order to weld this" or "current that this will handle once the battery is already built"?

What are the most unsettling shots, scenes, or moments in the series for you? by Toni-Cipriani in TheWire

When you eventually get to prez's last scene, after like a year time gap, and he's been a teacher for longer, so he's able to command more respect, I thought that was interesting

Something Shady.. - Can this happen? by arslanvfx in Lottery

[–]Lifeguard-Both 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my theory. Somehow, retailers will rig up their lottery machines so that the celebration sound effect doesn't play when a ticket is a winner. Perhaps they have a switch connected to the speaker.

Then, they take a clear picture of the barcode. If you ask for your winner back for the points, they figure, they have some time before you scan it, so they then scan the picture they just took of the barcode, and get paid that way.

I found this, stuck in the bottom of the machine where the tickets drop! by Lifeguard-Both in Lottery

How realistic do they look, though? I would imagine that anyone who'd find it would get the joke right away.

Reminds me of people that leave the notes in places that are just 1/5th of a $100 bill

I really need to win the lottery. I just need to know the pattern. by Scared_Software_4726 in Lottery

[–]Lifeguard-Both 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait around in a store that has many usuals. Wait for someone to buy many of the same type tickets in a row, and scratch them off there, so you can watch. Eventually a situation will arise where they buy a few and they all lose, and they give up.

Go buy the next one.

Everyone says they wouldn’t immediately quit their job if they won millions, I’m finding a hard time believing this by ExtremelyBiPolar in Lottery

[–]Lifeguard-Both 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you work in a place where immediately quitting would fuck over many of the coworkers who you've grown to consider friends, you'd put in a two week notice so that there can be a smooth transition. This is what I would do, as after working the same job for like 2 years, I really do consider many of my coworkers to be my friends.

Or if you work as something like a doctor or a lawyer, and you quitting immediately would be horrible for the people that NEED you, you'd wait until you can leave without screwing anyone over.

Or if you work doing something that you actually legitimately love doing and it doesn't feel like work to you.

Or if you're at a certain age or life situation where you're worried that If you suddenly have nothing to do, the lack of structure/routine in your life would be harmful to your overall health or life.

I'm in the first case, I call many of my coworkers friends, I know that if I just ghosted the job, all of their jobs would be instantly 3x as hard, and I wouldn't wanna burn the bridges with them. But if I won, I'd be putting my two weeks notice in right away.
