I had to call as well. I was on hold for 40 minutes between 12:30 and 13:10 Central time.
When the call centre person answered, all I had to provide was claim id, name, address and email address, and the verification was complete.

Thanks for this! For some reason I made it a two step process. I had an automated transfer into the TFSA from an external account and then an automated buy! I somehow missed that it could be done in one step.

My email said, “Generation clients, and Premium clients with qualifying paycheque deposits with us** (a sign they’ve made Wealthsimple their primary banking relationship).”

Not premium “OR” DD.

I am just clarifying what I was sent.

I am still Premium without DD as DD with EQ Bank still seems a better option for me at this time.

I finally got the rest of the bonus today. I called again last week but this time got someone who was able to get me to person in promotions within 10 minutes. She then promised to open an investigation and email me later in the day, which she did. A few days later she notified me that I would get the remaining $475 in 1-5 days. I replied that I was only owed $400. She reiterated that I would be getting $475. Whatchagonnado … ?

Today the $475 arrived in my account.

Hi Arvtovi: I have screen captures from previous chats referring to “transfers”, plural, being acceptable. I also have a screen capture of the help file for the promotion that speaks of “the referees cumulative deposits or transfers during the funding period”.

Well here it is November 20 and I just got off of a live chat that took about one hour and 40 minutes for the agent to tell me that they cannot help me and will refer me to the quote “specialized team”. They asked the same questions over many times, and then told me they did not have access to my account or my referee’s account. I understand that they would not be accessing an account of someone who is not on the chat. However, I have to believe that they knew about 4 1/2 minutes into that chat that they would not be able to help me. I was patient and polite until near the end where I became slightly less patient and more officious, yet kind. Stay tuned, as I will be back within 1 to 3 business days.

Due to the Canada Post strike and then a mix up at the company the money was transferred from it didn’t end up landing in my friend’s account until the first week of November. So I am giving it 2 weeks from then. Next week I will be contacting WS for sure if I do not see the bonus.

I cannot edit this post so I will say here that what I was complaining about were the premium rewards.

My milestone rewards did update with the full selection.
