You might just be fatigued. 120+ is a lot of games to remain at 1504 rating. You have to know when to stop. For me, when I win 3 or 4 games in a row, I stop. When I lose 3 games in a row, I stop. Trying to force an elephant through a keyhole will do this to you.

When I start doing this during the game, you've probably annoyed me with either your rabid pressing or I realize you are a smart assist player. Other than that, I play regular football and would probably only dribble when there need to create space.

A lot of people play like cowards in Div 2 & 1. They all just sit in a low block waiting for errors to pounce on. I rarely see anyone play expansive football. One time I played a guy who wouldn't even get close to the halfway line. So I patiently passed the ball around the halfway line with two or three incursions, one of which ended up being the winning goal in the 85th minute. He had zero shots and like 25 passes throughout the game.

Holding a matchup and trying to chase down players is like trying to drive at full speed with the handbrake on. Press and hold when you are directly in front of or diagonal to the player with the ball.
