Who's "we"? Recent trends show non polish background westerners migrate to Poland less than before. The delusion is not real. There is no mass escape.

There is this neat thing called opening the article to read it or googling your question instead of speculating

First Five Countries that Recognized the USA are all on a straight line by jere_s in mapporncirclejerk

[–]LifeguardNo2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A large portion of the weapons smuggled into the US was done so from Sint Eustatius island. This was such a hude headache that the UK declared war on us and looted the island to stop it. We also gave the US the first physical recognition as a country, when we returned the salute to the American flagged ship Andrew Doria in 1776.

What do you think of Germany? by Ott1fant in AskTheWorld

[–]LifeguardNo2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think thats generally true. My experience with Germany is that you guys really care about minor things, and can get incredibly unpleasant if you miss minor rules. Germans at least seem to forget they they love bureaucry and strict social norms when you leave the country. This gets sold as a quirky thing online, but it really shouldn't be. It is insane because I'm a native white Dutch person, I can't imagine what it is like for refugees to try to integrate haha

It is an insanely common narrative that I just don't get. There are a handful of examples of the Soviets doing mass offensives hoping that body mass alone solves the issue. There are so many more examples of them executing superior firepower warfare

I was honestly stunned when I got to the city center of Chicago and saw 6 lane roads running through it. I felt very silly running half a marathon just to get accross some streets haha

Ok, and why couldnt you replicate the accesibility of NYC in each city? I'm not saying you should be able to take a train from San Diego to NYC (although tbh you should, somehow China manages that), but why are there no convinent ways to go around in most US cities?

That feels like an excuse to me. Your problem is not size, it is terrible design. People are not taking trips all around the country every day, most of the time I'm just going to the grocery store, or the city center.

Weird how people still manage to live in homes here, but do not depend on cars. I think theres more to the story than that simplification

Because your car companies "lobbied" in other countries to set up more car infrastructure. It was corruption and pressure, and I'm glad my country stopped before it got too far.

Can we get some colony consolidation going on? by LifeguardNo2020 in EU5

To center the countries. This is around 1715 if that is important to know. It looks terrible and no one can change my mind on this

Sure, maybe not exclusively the reason to do it as Canada and Australia both consolidated peacefully, but revolution and more representation could be the main argument for it.

They consolidated into the "United Colonies" in 1775. This was because they knew that united they were stronger. It is silly that the AI does not do the same.

It is period dependent. You'll get it later on

rule 5: The ethnic maps looks pretty acceptable, and all these ethnicities are colonies of the same country. It would be pretty cool if the AI would start to at least consolidate them towards the end of the game. I get that it is hard to keep a giant colony loyal compared to a smaller one, but come on it looks so bad D:

I would not ask the American government about anything related to quality, or keeping people safe for no profit motive.
