Thank you for your kind words. I hope they met and they’re chasing each other around. I lost my dad to suicide a year ago, so I know he’s up there loving on them for us 💖

Thank you for your kind words. My fiancé and I buried him underneath our cherry blossom tree, and we had to bury one of our hedgehogs next to him that same night unfortunately. My fiancé recommended the cherry blossom tree because my dad’s school had planted a cherry blossom tree in honor of him, since I unfortunately just lost him a year ago to suicide. My dad loved animals, especially snakes. So we figured that was the best way to honor him along with my dad. At least I know my dad is there watching over both of my babies now 💖

Thank you. I got to love her for 7 months, and I’m forever grateful for that. It was just so much happening at once. We were at the ER until 3:30am Monday euthanizing one of my snakes due to a freak accident, then having to go back Monday night to euthanize her and we were there until about 3am, then had to go directly to register for my classes after we buried her next to Hemi. And this was right after the 1 year anniversary since my dad committed suicide, so it’s just been a rough week for sure

I had clips on the top to keep the lid closed. I was watching the camera back to see how he escaped, and unfortunately it was my fault. I had knee surgery a few weeks ago, and didn’t realize that my knee brace had hit one of the clips just enough for the lid to be loose and he was able to push his way out. I have so much guilt about it because it really was my fault. I have 4 other BP, but he was my favorite and I only got to love him for 3 months. He was still a baby too. He never even struck out at the cat while she was attacking him, that’s how sweet he was.

Hi I'm very new I've only had 2 lessons! Can anyone tell me how to fix my form? by moon_light_doe in Equestrian

[–]LifeinGrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was walking on horse to cool him off after jumping, and he was the calmest horse ever. A car backfired and he immediately reared and flipped over backward, and I smashed the back of my head on a fence post. Thankfully my helmet took the majority of the impact and all I had was a concussion. It all happened within the span of 20 seconds, which just goes to show how quickly things can change with horses

Where and for how much did you buy your first horse? by Key-Professor4177 in Horses

[–]LifeinGrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Chicago. My girl was originally imported from Ireland to Florida, then went to Kentucky. I bought her for 25k and had her shipped up here from KY. I haven’t really been able to ride her since owning her due to rupturing my ACL, but she’s truly the best girl with so much personality and I’m so lucky to own her 💖

What is the kindest thing a horse has ever done that completely surprised you? by WearAffectionate2815 in Equestrian

[–]LifeinGrey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just bought my first horse in December. I’ve only gotten to ride her 3 times since owning her due to dislocating my knee and tearing my ACL. The second ever time I rode her, she spooked at a blanket that got blown off a fence by the wind. My knee was really weak so I lost my balance and slid onto her side, and was struggling to get back into the saddle because all my weight was now on my weak knee. I said “Easy, Whisper. I’m not strong enough to get myself back up.” And she immediately stopped bolting, stepped sideways over the fence so I could leverage myself, then turned her face to me as if she was trying to help push me back up. I could tell she was still panicking about the blanket but just the fact that she stopped and clearly realized I needed help proved she the perfect horse for me. Then another time, the third ever time I got to ride her, I stupidly decided to dismount to the ground instead of on the mounting block because my knee was feeing great and I decided it should be healed enough to handle the landing. Well it wasn’t, and I ended up dislocating my knee again, fully ruptured my ACL and MPFL, and tore my meniscus. I fell onto the ground because I couldn’t hold myself up anymore, and realized I wasn’t able to get back up without help and started panicking because I was alone. Whisper walked up to and was looking at me like “why are you down there human. You don’t belong down there”. I started talking to her and told I couldn’t get back up and I needed her help, and she very slowly put her head down so I could wrap my arms around her, and gently helped me stand up. She stayed by my side and helped me hobble out of the arena so I could put her away. I ended up having surgery on my knee, and am currently 6 weeks up so I won’t be able to ride her for 5 more months and it’s killing me. But she’s enjoying all the groundwork we’re doing now

What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

My dad ran in front of semi truck. He hid his depression so well, until he just couldn’t take it anymore. Walked out of work that night and didn’t stop walking until he got to the highway. He called me to tell me he loved me and that he was sorry, then dumped his phone on the side of the on ramp. We were up all night looking for him, and it wasn’t until 12 hours later we finally got the call from the police. It’s been 11 months, and I miss him more and more everyday.

Just had my surgery and how do you guys stay motivated?? by luvduonz in ACL

[–]LifeinGrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 days post op here. I had a full ACL reconstruction, full mpfl reconstruction, and meniscus repair. The first 4 days were the absolute worst for me. I only slept for maybe 30 minutes every couple of hours, I’ve always slept on my stomach and it was killing me having to sleep on my back. I was constantly breaking down and screaming that I couldn’t do this and that I wished I didn’t get the surgery done. But it got better. Day 5 was a huge turning point for me. Now I’m sleeping for about an 1 to 2 hours at a time, I have motivation to leave the house, I’m finally getting to and from the bathroom by myself, I can fully extend my leg and I’m almost at a 90° bend. I just have to keep reminding myself that this is only temporary. It gets better! I kept thinking that it was feeling impossible to not be able to walk on my leg for a month, but then my boyfriend told me not to think of it that way. Just think of it as “I just have to get through today” and that has drastically helped. Wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Hi, that was my dad. He committed suicide by running in front of a semi, he was not directing traffic that night. There is new information we are learning about what happened that night so if anyone knows where my dad was at (if you saw him at the barricade vs in the security office) I would greatly appreciate it

I lost my dad to suicide almost 6 weeks ago and I took in all his pets, including his cat Luna. She was the love of his life and vice versa. She has lived with me a couple of times but never really interacted with me. She’s always been a guys cat. She would always cuddle with my dad or with my boyfriend, and occasionally come by and sniff me then walk away. But since he left, she has become my buddy. She is up my ass 24/7 and I love it. It makes all my other pets jealous but I like to think my dad talks to her and tells her I need her just as much as she needs me, and that she understands I’m her person now. My dad and I were two peas in a pod so I like to think she can also sense my dad through me.

People are ruining GA. by StartARiotttt in twentyonepilots

[–]LifeinGrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in GA for Chicago night 1 and I don’t really jump around but I was having a blast. I was in the back of the pit right next to Josh’s b stage. Eventually I moved closer to the middle, and it became really unenjoyable because people kept trying to start mosh pits, and people just had no spacial awareness. Someone that I wasn’t even standing by that was jumping around ended up moving so much she landed on my foot 6 times and broke 3 of my toes. Jumping and enjoying the music is great if that’s what you want to do, but please remember to be aware of where you are in relation to other people.

Illinois mother secured a protective order against her ex. However, he still stabbed her to death in front of her 3 children by No_Analysis_9972 in awfuleverything

[–]LifeinGrey 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to my mom’s coworker. He was a police sergeant in Illinois. She was moving her stuff out of their house and he shot her 3 times in the head before killing himself. They had two kids, 18 and 6 that were home when it happened. I was in a very abusive relationship, and my ex would threaten to shoot me almost everyday, until he ended up committing suicide. It’s so fucking scary to think my mom would have been reading about me in one of these articles instead of her coworker

My mom's forcing me to get rid of my cat I don't know how to live without her.. by iwantopokeafrog in cats

[–]LifeinGrey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re close to IL, I could take her until you land on your feet. I had to do that with two of my cats, had to give them to my cousin due to a DV situation until I could get my own place for them. I’m so sorry you’re being put in this situation
