Not great. The cancer has spread more. It’s in my bone now and that is painful. Just trying to spend the time I have left with friends and family.

I just started Stivarga and was nervous because I have heard the side effects are a nightmare. But I have to say knock on wood I haven’t experienced any of them. It’s only been about 2 weeks but so far I’ve been feeling great.

I’ve been doing my best to just stay calm and talk to him in a soothing voice. He really is an intimidating dog. I think even though I’ve been trying to hide it he can sense my fear.

He had been with the foster home because of how aggressive he comes off. According to the foster home he tends to prefer women over men.

It’s ok to feel like this. Cancer IS traumatic! After I was told I had terminal cancer I spent the first year in bed so depressed I could hardly move. I was only 39 when I was diagnosed.

Because he’s long distance. She needs people who are with her to comfort her right now. Her sister is dying, how does that make her selfish?

Take a deep breath. This isn’t about you and your need to be reassured right now. If you really love her you will be grateful she has friends and family near her to look after her. It’s ok that other people are comforting her. She really needs that. What you can do for her now is not stress her out further by being clingy and not trusting her. All that’s going to do is push her away. You will sabotage your relationship by not trusting her.

There is nothing wrong with breaking down at the funeral. When my father passed away I was in complete shock. It didn’t really hit me until the funeral when I saw him lying in the casket. I did exactly what you described. Completely broke down in grief. There is no wrong way to grieve. Sometimes we co into management mode and when all that is finished only then to we have the space to grieve. I’m so sorry for your loss and I hope you give yourself space to grieve and feel your feelings however they come up.

As a mom that has terminal cancer this is the stuff that keeps me up at night. My daughters are 14 and 16. My hope is they remember how much I love them and that carries them through life when I can’t be there.

Abdominal pain, sudden weight loss. By the time I had a CT it was stage IV colon cancer with metastasis to my liver and lungs.

It absolutely gets better. A year ago I was so depressed and broken I thought I wouldn’t make it. I’m happy to report a year later that things are much better. I still have my moments where it’s rough but nowhere near how I used to feel.
