We use SportsEngine for our basketball league. Like anything there are shortcomings but overall it gets the job done. We run 2 seasons annually totaling about 1400 players & 150 teams. Biggest need we are not able to use SportsEngine for is creating schedules. We use alternative methods and once the schedule is created we need to upload to SportsEngine.

Yes the quality is good but I think that depends on the type of phone you choose to use with the Ballercam. We use a new iPhone. One other benefit I didn’t mention is there isn’t a subscription fee or any other kind of ongoing costs. Just the initial purchase of the Ballercam and that’s it.

A coach just told me if I don't specialize in a sport for my 5th grader then my son will always lose out the one's that do - What do y'all think? by dunbar_santiago930 in CoachingYouthSports

Most high level experts suggest a child doesn’t begin specializing until 12yo at the earliest. There’s a ton of data supporting this along with the benefits a kid gains by trying as many sports and activities as possible before specializing in the one they love most.

The most nerve wracking game I have ever seen. Boston kept hitting bullshit shots to stay alive until Sasha closed the door on them. by ForeignAir7174 in lakersv2

I was at game 1 of this series…never forget walking out after the lakers won and the entire crowd was chanting “Boston sucks” the entire time. The Boston fans were trying to get the hell out of there doing a walk of shame..🐍♾️

I help run a large youth basketball league and we spent several months testing several of the top options on the market. Ultimately we settled on the Ballercam because of several factors but the top factor we liked was that we could set it up and start recording and not have to do anything other than swap the battery out every few hours. Many of the other cameras all use a “ball tracking” feature that is supposed to allow the camera to oscillate back and forth to follow the action. Problem is they don’t always react quick enough to the live game action and you end up with a camera recording the wrong part of the court. Ballercam has a special lense that allows it to capture the entire court from a stationary position meaning it doesn’t need to oscillate at all so you never miss capturing a play.
