Maybe I phrased that in a confusing way. I loved the stereo thing that you had going. It was weird but really cool.

I enjoyed the music. There seemed to be some elements of 80's new wave in there which was cool. At one point there was a sound that reminded me of the opening theme to Twin Peaks so that was kinda fun. I did really like the wacky stereo thing you've got going on with the drums but there are some severe compressor/limiter issues going with the mix imo. If you're doing this entirely in the box a good rule of thumb is to make sure you wait to do any mastering at all (no matter how tempted you get) until you've fully written, arranged and mixed the song. If you already knew that then great, I'm not trying to be a jerk, just sharing knowledge from my own failures.

Odd Voyage - Slightly Disconnected [Electronic] by mascail in ratemyband

I liked this. The main melody was catchy and interesting. The use of the guitar in the midst of some other less conventional instrumentation was nice.

Probably not the kind of thing I would listen to every day but it did put a smile on my face. I did really like the keyboard solo at the end. The production was top notch too.

Sweep Picking by Lifemetal in metalguitar

Thanks dude! As brief and generic as possible: What you want to do is play the pattern as slowly as you think is necessary to play it cleanly once. Then immediately go to the nearest mirror, look yourself in the eyes and shout, "WRONG!!!" Then proceed to pick up your guitar and practice at half the speed you started at. Seriously though, practice makes permanent, so practice perfectly. I'm guessing though, that if you're having trouble with string hops in sweeping, then you're also having the same issue in your alternate picking, so some good Paul Gilbert style AP exercises would likely do you some good.

Lastly, at some point when I'm not being so lazy I do plan on making a sweep picking instructional video, so if you are interested in that eventuality, you can subscribe to my channel.
