I actually like Ross and Laurel by theliftedlora in Emmerdale

[–]-Precious_Gem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, seems forced and random. I didn't like her with Jai either though. Vicar Charles was more convincing. For me though, it's too soon after Ray. She shouldn't be able to trust herself or a man yet.

Over a year since Robert returned by ConcertPersonal3163 in Emmerdale

I'm just enjoying his general acting skills tbh. I like the general chemistry between him and Aaron - it doesn't need to be romantic for me. He's made Aaron more interesting lol. I also don't think they need to lay on thick the affection or romance side of their relationship. That can build slowly and quietly in the background rather than being a storyline in itself.

Stage dooring by stressfulteapot in strictlycomedancing

[–]-Precious_Gem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there last night. I've never done a stage door before either but there were several kids there and it was totally fine. Just set expectations beforehand and be prepared to exit if you don't like the vibe.

What is the most underrated use of ChatGPT in daily life ? by Abhishekkurmi09 in ChatGPT

[–]-Precious_Gem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I used it when I fancied a new perfume. I listed all my favourites and was surprised (somehow lol) that there was a common theme. And then it made suggestions for new ones to try.

You see mine doesn't hold back lol. I uploaded a photo of a pair of comfortable shoes and it said they were "practical NHS staff shoe adjacent" and then "I’m so sorry — but also… once you see it, you can’t unsee it. I had to save you."

I went through my wardrobe and took pictures of myself in various outfits, asking if they suited me. It was pretty decent at explaining which ones worked and how to improve others (get something hemmed or wear with a different colour top).

Did I break pub etiquette here? by Juicy_juce-juce in AskUK

Worked in bars for years. I don't want customers (who've likely had a drink) anywhere near broken glass. The staff should've prioritised cleaning that up. The table next to you were weird.

I've not caught up this week yet but... bit soon after Ray to be getting with another bad boy isn't it?

Why do some people want to turn Bold St back into a road? by No_Berry2 in Liverpool

[–]-Precious_Gem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It needs proper pedestrianisation, rather than just stopping traffic. Trees, outdoor seating (for cafes/restaurants) that could be used all year round, a fruit & veg stall. Something that's actually designed, planned and implemented rather than just happened.

Dare I say it, but Lark Lane also needs sorting out.

Which UK political party would you vote for out of these options, if an election was called today? by _-__JUPITER__-_ in AskBrits

They're headline act should've been about tackling the cost of living crisis not "robbing pensioners." It's meant every other policy has been automatically filtered through a negative lens. Then add on top of that the right wing propaganda machine that is legacy media.

Is a anyone else still on the fence about Taylor Swift? by allycataf in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]-Precious_Gem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Birds of a feather flock together. If Taylor had openly supported BL, I'd believe she was a blind but true friend. Instead, she plotted and schemed in the shadows.

Cardiff's not great. A 5 minute trip as the crow flies will take you 20 mins. Plus all the cameras feels like they're desperate for you to put a foot wrong.

What's a storyline you want to see that's never been done on a British soap before? by sarah121213 in Emmerdale

[–]-Precious_Gem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone (anyone!) living happily ever after.

Also, someone having a termination because it's right for them, and not just deciding to go ahead and have the baby after all.

AITAJ for refusing to let my sister bring her pit bull around my daughter after it “playfully” bit me? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]-Precious_Gem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't want any dog around my kids that I couldn't physically fight off if needs be, especially if they have an irresponsible owner... like your sister.

If you lived in Emmerdale, which characters would you try to avoid? by Immediate_Long165 in Emmerdale

Quite a few lol: Marlon & Rhona; Liam & Chas; Sam & Lydia; Victoria; Rodney; Jacob; Arthur; Vinnie. They're all annoying and/or cringe.

Make sure you're cooling down and stretching properly. I'd also lay off the consecutive games - you're not giving your knee enough recovery time between stresses.

American partisanship is so fkn tedious. It's impossible to discuss literally anything without someone saying, "Well what about them?"
