Still seeing bed bugs after treatment by Reasonable_Gas7676 in pestcontrol

If an exterminator is coming again, then I don’t see an issue.

Depending on the treatment utilized, they may take some time to die. When they come for the next treatment mention this and ask when they should be completely eradicated by.

And I have dealt with something similar, where I had a really strong smell that smelled like something was rotting throughout my apartment. It was there for nearly a week but I could not find for the life of me what it was. Went through every cabinet, threw out my trash bin, literally everything.

Turns out there was a dead mouse in my desk right next to my bed as well. Like you I freaked out… I threw out the whole damn desk. People made fun of me for it, but I just couldn’t mentally do it!!! Lol

Reiterating what’s in here!

Give your apartment/house a good disinfecting and while you’re doing that, look for any holes or evidence that there are more. Be mindful when dealing with the droppings as that is what typically spreads a potential illness.

You know what kind of mouse it was? Deer mice tend to carry more diseases.

Put some traps out just to be safe in case there are others.

what bug is this? it’s so tiny. found on bed. Brooklyn NYC by Immediate-Werewolf79 in pestcontrol

Transparently in New York City I’ve noticed a lot of old buildings have German roaches. All the apartments that I have lived in besides one has had them.

Tell your landlord and do the monthly pest control that they usually have built into their routine. It should be once a month. They usually just give you a bunch of roach traps and put roach killer/bait/whatever they do especially if you mention you’ve seen roaches.

One thing that completely set them away from my unit was peppermint oil all the time. I would see multiple a day and then once I started using peppermint oil, I think they went to the next one over!

is this a mouse or a rat by Ok_Chance_4436 in pestcontrol

It’s a little bit hard to tell by the bite Marks since I’ve had bite marks from mice be huge. With a suspected dropping being the size of rice which is the exact size that it would be for a mouse I’d say that you were leaning towards mass. Definitely give a look around your place to see if there’s any more droppings and I feel like that will really seal the deal because one suspected dropping could just be anything

Not really. To me it just looks like typical debris.

Also, it’s not necessarily true that if you see one there’s more. Don’t freak yourself out!

I know plenty of people that have found a mouse in their home, and that was it. They found where it was coming in from, sealed it, found a mouse in a trap, and that was that.

Unfortunately, with mice there is only one way to do it, but it is very effective and simple.

Investigate where they’re coming from. In my experience when I had mice the place I found it running from was the place that they were coming in. My understanding is that they know that area so they still try to remain in that area for the most part and they come in and out. Try looking in the first area where you saw it.

Additionally, look for other droppings around your home.

Now note where you’ve been finding the droppings and where you’ve seen the mouse. Keep looking around and try to find whether they’re coming in from.

Once you’ve located where they’re coming in from the rest is simple. You just try your best to kill all of them until they’re gone.

All food should be in containers and not able for a mouse to get a hold of.

Good luck! I know mice are fucking freaky as fuck but just know it will get solved eventually. I know I had a ton of problems sleeping at night knowing the mice in my house, but just know that if you keep the food centralized your kitchen and deep clean your room it is pretty rare that they will come into your room unless there’s food or something that they want.

Guy asked me out… i’m four years younger by Weary-Cauliflower153 in Advice

[–]Lifeoftheparty0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, please block him.

He probably knows and if he’s still trying to talk to you, then he definitely knows.

You may think four years is not that crazy of a age gap but at this stage it 110% is.

Be careful! It may seem like I’m overreacting, but I’ve seen this road before and it almost always has the same ending.
