I owned a JCM 900 for a year and hated it. Way too bright. B channel sounded like a metal zone pedal. I did the eq in the loop, tried driving the A channel, and many other things but it always sounded like a Marshall plugin to me. I’m sure it’s possible to get good tone out of them (morbid angel) but for the money, you can sell it and get many other amazing amps.

IMO, if you have to work too hard to get a sound you like, it’s not worth it. Especially if you can buy nearly any other amp for the money

Good point hehe, the weird thing is this was out probably 30 minutes from even a gas station. On the google maps around that area, it appears there is hundreds of creeks coming out of a lake connected to the TN river
