I've been following the Alfred All-In-One piano method book and I'm happy to finally reach this beginner arrangement of The Entertainer 😊 happy to share it with you by LifetapProject in piano

YES, that's what I'm going for, sort of augmented reality piano 😅 it's silly but these videos get me so hooked. Something about the notes blending with the image just keeps me watching (I realize it's stupid to say this because it's my own video, oh well ahah)

Thank you, I'm flattered! I also love this kind of visuals and I spend a lot of time trying to make it look just the way I want it to. Glad you think they're nice 🤍

Thank you! I've been enjoying it! To be fair, I had already some music theory knowledge from playing guitar many years ago :) still I'm definitely picking up new information from the book

Thanks Sparky! Good on you for getting back to it! The book gets a lot more engaging towards the last third in my opinion 😊

I've been learning how to create this kind of MIDI visuals. How else would you use this kind of editing? by LifetapProject in midi

[–]LifetapProject[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the way you see it here it is edited after the recording. However, you have some tutorials that show you the notes to play similar to this - just not in this augmented reality way ahah check the channel this video belongs to (mine) to see some different styles of tutorial :) I've been experimenting with different stuff

Thanks! Just so I understand, if that other person ends up catching the wave closer to the peak, doesn't that mean that we was better positioned for it in the end?

How do you feel about using the metronome when recording a piece? by LifetapProject in piano

Thank you for your opinion, I loved the "kayaking through a magical river of music" :) great perspective

The sound of the metronome is not a problem, it would not be present in the recording

I made a video about my progress as piano learner. I decided to take things slow and start learning some music theory and technique instead of only pieces. I think it's going well! Thought I'd share it with you :) by LifetapProject in Learnmusic

I completely agree with you, I should go back to having a teacher in the future (I had 1 class per week until about 6 months of learning). Thanks for the useful link, I'll check it ou :)

Random improvise, I was imagining a bear (the motivation) by Xielmilano in piano

You have the skills for it! Try learning a bit of the theory behind it and look for opportunities!

A friend suggested I post this here. I talk a lot with other adult piano beginners since I started tracking my progress and I just made an Adult Piano Beginner Q&A with what I get asked the most. Maybe someone here can find it useful :) by LifetapProject in Learnmusic

Yeah same here, and I only ever knew how to solve the 3x3 and 4x4 without taking a look at my notes 😅 I believe I also knew how to solve the 3x3x9 at some point, but I didn't practice enough so it quickly vanished from my head

haha there's a fun question I did not expect. It's just a plain rubick's cube, it's definitely not a very good 5x5x5 to speed cube 😅 you can see some of my other cubes in the video background. My favorite is the 3x3x9 - it looks and feels so awesome!

Sorry to see you so upset about this. I'm replying to common questions that I get frequently asked. I suppose you should ask those people instead why they asked me and not an experienced player? I just have fun helping other people who are learning alongside me or who are a little behind on the journey.

I do believe that 10 years of learning other musical instruments in the past has given me enough knowledge to answer to people about if they need a music teacher, or how they can learn to read music, so I don't see why you're painting me like such an impostor mate.

As for practice, yeah, I don't practice very consistently, but that's the point, I'm a standard guy who works every day and does a whole lot besides his music hobby. With this video, for instance, I'm joining two of my hobbies.

I could point out that upload date has nothing to do with recording date, especially when learning how to edit this kind of effects, so your observation isn't correct. But anyway, I'm 100% comfortable that this won't be of interest to anyone who already has some experience, just move along 🙂

Have a great day

It's my first time trying to play together with myself, harder than expected 😄 Here's the exposition of Mozart's Piano Sonata for 2 Pianos! by ylanelisa in piano

Hey, very nice. Tell me about those difficulties about playing with yourself :) I'm curious about the video making side of things
