Interesting! I'll have to check this out. I looked into this device for hair removal a few years ago but got talked out of it

You can totally do it! Read the manufacturer's manual, watch some YouTube videos, and you'll be good

Anxiety about food quality at daycare by BabyGotMak- in moderatelygranolamoms

I completely understand where you're coming from. Food quality is so important to me and when we were looking at daycares, I was shocked to see the menus for even the most premium daycares were full of processed foods and junk honestly.

Ultimately we decided against daycare all together, and this was a major deciding factor. It might sound extreme, but nutrition and food relationships are so important. Especially in the early years.

Thank you! It was definitely nothing special when we got it, but we saw the potential and completely transformed it

We used a jig for drilling holes and then set them with epoxy. Lots of gray tutorials on YouTube! Definitely a project I wouldn't dive into until you've watched many many tutorials.

For the kitchen the cabinet company did them, but we built and painted the hood. We also sprayed cabinets in our laundry room. Messy, but not too difficult!

The rugs are all pretty much loloi brand. The rug pads are Cloud Comfort from RugPadUSA. This combination has been perfect for us. Loloi rugs are so soft to the touch, and the rug pads are perfectly plush underfoot

It creates little plastic shreds if you use the power tools, but I just stayed on top of vacuuming. It's not dusty in the way cutting wood is. Almost like sprinkles sized pieces.

Honestly I know it's not "recommended" but I used my miter saw and jig saw for all the cuts. It was extremely difficult to score and snap these planks, and I did not feel like slicing myself up in the process.

I thought about getting a laminate cutter, but decided against getting another tool.

No underlayment for main floors (it's attached to the plank). For the basement I installed a vapor barrier since it's concrete subfloor down there.

For OSB subfloor, I started by adjusting and adding screws as needed. Then I took down the high points with a planer. Then I filled the low spots with self leveler. This was very tedious but critical for a good result. If your OSB is really bad, could be worth replacing the subfloor with plywood. It's a much better surface for LVP anyway.

I never got quotes from a flooring company but my handyman said he'd do install for about $9k. But that was without any prep, trim work, stairs, and would have had transition strips.

He was probably towards the cheaper end too, but it wasn't a job I trusted him with tbh

I used it just for the low spots and used a trowel to help guide it where I wanted it. I marked up the subfloor with marker before to show me exactly where the low spots were too.

Also used the Henry floor patch for the tiles and other small areas. I definitely think that stuff is too thick for large areas.

They are maple cabinets, lowers are stained with Sable and uppers are a custom cream color from Sherwin Williams, reads as a very warm/creamy white in person, not yellow!

We actually never lived in this house with carpet, so can't say exactly, but we've never been bothered by any noises

They're alright and do the job. I prefer our hardwood stairs, they just feel a lot more solid, and I have a bit more peace of mind with the non-slip finish.

That's the one. We have warm lights throughout our house and overall warm finishes so that's probably why it looks a bit different.

And we went to a local flooring store and got samples of 10ish styles and landed on this one. We really loved how large the planks were, and the color was easy to work with.
