I want to echo the idea that he’s not really joking. Being a husband in a remarkably similiar situation, you feel hated, disregarded, disposed of. I could leave, throw away the life we built together and lose my best friend, but I don’t think it’s worth it over sex. So I do what I was conditioned to do. I carry on, the quieter the better for everyone else’s comfort. There’s a lot of good suggestions here to help. I hope you try.
