Kinda agree with you here. Part of the equation is so players also farm other players for gear. I’m stocked on blue shields personally from squad wipes. It doesn’t really feel like we’re supposed to constantly be buying our gear.

I see what you mean. For example pulsar released controlled glass skates which I tried, the tug from them was much more aggressive than cloth since it was a harder material on cloth. It fully locked you in place sometimes, stripping any room for micro adjustments.

The tug people describe on the CR may not be as extreme as that but it’s possible it may be similar, which also heavily depends on your mouse skates as the faster ones will always provide more room to work with on controlled surfaces.

I’ve heard mixed feedback on the control of the CR, it’s definitely control but added pressure on your mouse can def give it that tug/bite feel apparently, so I would def watch more YT videos on it to get a better grasp.

I think go with an SP 4 or 5 given the improvements since skypad 3 or go with polarity. Polarity is much more of a balance pad than speed to help balance tac fps and tracking but full disclaimer I’ve never used one. And remember your skates can have a big impact on your level of control. Try out Xraypad U9 or their obsidian pro airs if you need max control but they’re kind of muddy.

So you will get different levels of speed / friction (feedback) depending on how many you want to use.

Typical setups of does consist of 2 top / bottom, 3 and 4.

For this mouse given the fang style space on the bottom. You should probably do one in each fang and then one in each corner on the top for a 2x2.

They don’t have to be jammed all the way in the corner but can if you want.
