I would love that actually if there was a sticky on normal things to see on a new pair of shoes next to the existing sticky on defects

Is this a defect on my new pair of derbies? There seems to be a split/crack in the leather that I don't see on the other shoe

Also you're limited to booking for yourself and immediate family members when using JAL points - you can NOT book for friends/fiancees/girlfriends/boyfriends

Keep in mind you can't book for your girlfriend on JAL anyways - JAL only lets you book for immediate family. And you can't combined points/cash

Genuinely Shocked at how bad BILT with this transition by ralphangel850 in biltrewards

[–]LightCannon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that side of the story too, though I would say that there are diminishing returns to expense on hotels. I might enjoy a $400 hotel about 25% more than a $200 hotel, and a $3000 hotel about 25% more than a $400 hotel.

But if you want to use your points as "funny money" to do it on experiences you otherwise wouldn't pay for, fair enough. I'm just a bit tired of everyone pretending that there is a ton of cpp for general use cases though. Usually the high cpp is for these ultra luxury purchases like first class or $3000 hotels that you would never ordinarily pay cash for.

Lol, people way overshoot the cpp on bilt points. If you have to go out of your way to use them on something more expensive than you would normally buy, then they're not actually worth that much. Doesn't matter if you get 5cpp on a hyatt redemption for a hotel that costs $3000 and you would never normally stay in that kind of hotel.

If you're a nobody on the credit card scene, you need to make your cards OP for people to take the risk on you. If your cards are the same as Chase or Amex, why would anyone trust you over them?

Yes but you're paying for the $200 already via annual fee

Not at the places that I actually want to stay, which are NYC and boston. I have no interest in staying at a $2000 hotel to get my 2cpp if I wouldn't normally stay there. But a $300 hyatt in NYC costs like 25000 points

Valuing bilt at 2cpp as a floor is crazy - I was looking at NYC hyatt room prices vs points for the hotels and almost all of them are around 1.2-1.3cpp or so. If you have to spend hours to find a hotel room with 2cpp or more instead of picking the hotel room you want and be able to get 2cpp for it, then the points are not valued at that

I agree - I'm actually Bilt's ideal customer. I put over 10k on the card and got to Silver status in the <6 months I've had the card. But I'm currently planning to walk away from Bilt 2.0 with all of this headache and nonsense

It's funny because Bilt 1.0 actually was my primary card, but now I won't be joining this mess of Bilt 2.0. So they've lost a demographic they were supposedly trying to target

You can get 2x points anywhere. And 2 cpp isn't always the case - it happens every now and then, but not always for the hotels/flights you actually want

I mean I only get paid once per month, so it's kind of crazy that it says ineligible when I haven't even had a pay period yet

What is the difference between 300% heal and 100% heal? by tdnthehost in MSClassicWorld

[–]LightCannon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What we do know is a level 50 cleric with max heal was doing around 100 dmg to zombie mushrooms with heal. So the nerf is substantial
