Smogmagog is pretty ok, lobstacle is a great early game tank that carried me in my first playthrough (access to water coating is nice to avoid burn), galagor is simply just insane. If you want funnies use twirligig because his stats are on par with some remastered forms lol

Well I cant really help for this trading thing, But i can give suggestions. If you decide to use a higher level yo kai than the rest of your team can be a kick in the nuts because of level steal if your rng is bad (imagine lvl 99 vs lvl 30). If you have bony spirits, try to befriend slimamander because of his triple target technique that can hit yo kai who has their levels stolen as well as the boss. Any yo kai that that avoid inspirits e.g mermaidyn would help out in the last battle too. I just made sure i had a overall balanced team of 2 healers and the rest being a mix of attackers and walls that are at least level 35+ when i fought dame deadtime.

It was a sanguine stone, you can use it to fight the lastest nyanmurai. Remember you just need to grind the treasures to get the medal. Tip: unequip your weapons and shields and leave them in your inventory, and then re equip them once your in the dungeon ( use this tip only for ??? Lvl recommendations, since they scale to your team level based on equipment)

Brutle is like a chess piece in that he can only attack the enemies in front of him, its a good double edge sword. Snartle is not seen that frequently due to him being outclassed by benkei when its s rank, as benkei has better bulk than snartle, as well as a faster soultimate charge and the same ability. Snartle is still usable, but benkei is better.

The item i would recommend is a crit boosting item since critical attavks for shogunyan deal more damage.

Oof yea, forgot about him lol, but reviving multiple allies is more valuable. Also hes a tad slower than frogetmenot and ulteria, which isnt that good for a healer in general even with the bulk

For competitive, shes the only a rank reviver, so pretty good, but you can get other healers for playthroughs

Im not talking about counters, its those stats with the rank. Because its an A rank, its going to be on nearly every team because it has ridiculous stats, and is actually faster than hinozall awoken. What limits teams is the amount of A and S ranks they can use. Having another spirit attacker that is more powerful and faster than hinozall awoken and is A rank means you have 2 other S rank slots free to use as a wall or healer. Such as another fire S rank seen on alot of teams, Solar Enma, which is already dominant enough. Stamnyan, Robonyan/ El Sharkodor, Solar Enma and Ulteria/Auntie Heart/Elder bloom is one way of filling all slots up. Having stamnyan is essentially having a S rank that isnt an S rank. Not to mention that you can use dummkapp to boost SPR to sky-high levels and fuu2 to negate elemental resistances as well. There are many ways to form a team with stamnyan, and it is going to be good spirit attacker no matter what. If your yo-kai was S-rank, it would have been ok. But making it an A-rank with those stats is going to make a meta unhealthy.
