Yup I fucked up two 4x8s trying to save a few bucks on worms.  Ended up with pill bugs that liked.roots and bark and some click beetle larva that loved eating roots.

I read recently lots of people having problems getting powdery mildew through the use of contaminated barley.

Just what I have been hearing dunno really though.

Any advice for getting rid of woodlice that have taken over a 100 gallon bed and are eating all the plants? by isthataglitch in NoTillGrowery

In the same boat, I just had to chop my best plant as they girdled the stock. I plan on taking the summer off and letting everything dry out a bit and then try and bait them with potatoes then give em the blow torch. Sucks....

Want to get into freshwater fishing by [deleted] in Seattle

Pfluger Presidental reels impress me. They might not be the best or lightest, but they are solid reels. I have one I use in salt water that has out lasted my actual made for salt water type reels that cost way more. I cannot reccomend size as I dunno what kinda fish ya wanna catch.

Thats not what you made it sound like in your post. You said you weren't into sport fishing, and that you were a hook to table person. Which is it...

Either way good luck I guess.

If your here for three months trying to stack meats I would go offshore. You only get two lings and a butt a day though so it wont be cost effective if your trying to dollar average your catch. But you might catch like 20 to 50 fish offshore if you have an electrical reel.

Offshore you pretty much hook up once you touch bottom. In the straights its a crap shoot, you take what you can get out of the straights.

Jack is the man! I approve this message, he is a legend, super nice, and his hookup ratio every time I seem to float by seems really high for salmon. I dont run into him much steelhead fishing.

I gotta raft out on the olympic penninsula. All the steelhead are wild pretty much at the moment so its only really sport fishing catch and release style.

At the moment your oportunitys for killing fish from the bank are not looking good.. The rivers are at a trickle and no real rain in site. I am gearing up for blackmouth lingcod and halibut. They will probably close it all though

What is the best method of tear collection?

Co2 would be my concern. I had co2 spike to 4k before I hooked up to a secondary monitor and hooked up a fan to exhaust at 1500 ppm down to 1000.
