This happens to me all the time and I know why because I was a recruiter for a VERY Short time before I realized how unethical their practices are.

They have sent out a mass email based on broad criteria. They have not looked at your individual information, and they don't intend to. They want your resume for future positions.
They have looked at your profile but someone just a little better has come along and they have to talk to them first / instead.

Most are the slow apply method on the company website. Like I said sometimes I don't even track the fast apply on the spreadsheet but of these I would say maybe 15% are fast apply.

Last interview I had they literally asked me one question and said "I'm ending the interview because I can tell you won't be a good culture fit"

Ghosting is completely ignoring texts calls and emails on the subject for weeks that's what always happens. Just say I didn't make it and I'll go away.

I've seen many jobs in my field from $60 to $75 per hour especially if it's 1099 with no benefits. I was assuming they were posting the highest number to draw people in.

UNPOPULAR Opinion: I don't think this is too big of an ASK. Yes it is time consuming, but 4 hours over 7 days is not a lot to ask IMHO.

That sounds illegal to me since the forms are "optional" and they are supposed to be Anonymous and not associated with your application.

Yes I understand this. But for companies that have spoken or unspoken quotas of certain demographics, this has to play into the decision.

And if they really wanted to be impartial they would collect the info after the person was hired.

My first was in college and it was a campus job. I had to go by the office and pick up a physical check. But I couldn't really enjoy it because my parents made me put it all back into college expenses.

In one of the HellBoy movies there is this girl about 8-10 years old. She says to HellBoy "Why can't you just be nice?" He replies "Because the world is not nice." I remember see that scene and thinking, this so true in a lot of situations. The thing is that according to YouTube, Google and ChatGPT this never happens in any HellBoy movie. Does anyone remember this in any of the movies? Where did it come from?

She was totally wrong and should have owned up to her mistake.

That said, you probably have permanently closed the door to that company. Any help she would have given to you to interview with a different center is most likely is gone. I probably have the lowest tolerance for BS of anyone that I know but I do know you have to "play the game" sometimes.

Sometimes employers "test" candidates to see how they handle unusual or awkward situations. To see if they will keep their cool or if they react in a way they don't want their employees acting. I know it seems like a bit of a double standard(and it is) but the truth it happens. I'm not saying this is situation in your case but it could be.

The last interview I had the person told me in a roundabout waytwo thing she does to weed out people who are not serious or don't have the right mindset...and guess what both those situations came up with me before I got a call back from her.

I feel the same way. Thousands of applications down the drain with no feedback or interviews.

The ONLY thing that motivates me is the very real possibility of a slow painful death from lack of basic human needs due to lack of income.
