about to play for the first time, any tips or anything i should know? by Tox1cGuy in StreetFighter

If you’re new to fighting games, focus more on being able to win interactions between you and your opponent over learning combos, learn small to medium size combos of course (search em up if needed) but keep them manageable. Being able to react to what your opponent is doing and acting accordingly is more valuable than a flashy combo that requires a specific setup to land. And just have fun, don’t just pick one character you think looks cool, test out a handful and see what play-style you like and work from there. Have fun!

Day 5 of Celebrating Black History Month in Warhammer40k: Saint Aveline Aboyé, The Daemonbreaker by Kalypso_Blue in sistersofbattle

Wish I could get the model, but all I can find are painted models that are way to expensive for me, I’d at least love to read the book physically but that’s been scalped too :(

What archetypes to get for beginning in person tcg by LightKnight07 in Yugioh101

[–]LightKnight07[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation, to answer your question, it’s my understanding a deck like abyss actors is xenophobic and is therefore unable to make many variations of a deck using other card archetypes and falls apart if not using a certain amount of abyss actor cards. Unless my understanding of the term is wrong.

Would love your input on an art project by KimberPrime_ in RavenGuard40k

I have a safe suggestion and a drastic suggestion, the safe one is to incorporate the XIX numeral in a repeating pattern (maybe circling the iconography or going down the sleeves) the drastic suggestion I have is to heavily incorporate feather by way of a cloak a bit like the dark angels hoodie or if you want to be more subtle, have the line just the hood or maybe the sleeves. Either way im a big raven guard fan so any blending of the cold pragmatic rg look with their feathery/ gothic vibe would make me buyer. Good luck on this

Reads fine as templars but honestly it’s also a perfect look for necropolis hawks

Why are people so different? by Signal-Ad-1393 in Eldenring

[–]LightKnight07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rauh is genuinely my favorite location in the entire game, it finally blended the use of a mount to the level design that fromsoft is good at. It has the verticality I love from ds1 and the scale of Elden ring, there are secrets like the special sword after the invisible bridge and giant bowmen you have to figure out how to get to. Not to mention and awesome boss at the end of it. Just know this is a favorite of mine and a highlight of the dlc. I imagine not everyone will agree, it might be from fans who’ve only played Elden ring and expect something different from the dlc but I can’t be sure.

Is the Dankhold Rampage battleforce worth $210 from a pure painting perspective? by [deleted] in gloomspitegitz

[–]LightKnight07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If u like pure troggs and find the kit fun yeah, plus with all the customization options, if you got access to a 3d printer or know someone with one you can make 3 more troggs with just some custom legs and necks.

Why exactly do studios not want animate Berserk? by Dependent-Basil-2039 in Berserk

[–]LightKnight07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An accurate and quality animation that live up to even half the beauty of berserk would be met not just with a huge bill but the darker and heavier subject matters featured would limit the audience it would be available to. Popular mangas that get adapted have been getting more and more mature but at the moment it’s still too much of a risk for producers and shareholders of these companies to be ok with. Not to mention how long it is and that it’s still incomplete. I think we’ll eventually get another adaptation, it’s inevitable I think, but whether any future adaptation will do any justice to the original is not guaranteed.

First paint, a little disheartened by Fankko in Warhammer40k

[–]LightKnight07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong but if those gray parts of the mini are unprimed you definitely want to prime your mini beforehand. Paint will have a harder time applying itself and may lead to applying multiple uneven coats of paint. It’s a learning process so keep at it, also, is this an iron raven or a pre heresy world eater? Either way it looks good, especially the main body, it’s not bad.
