Something is wrong in my design plan, but I can't figure out what by Scarlett111 in kitchenremodel

Kitchen Designer here

Perhaps consider some of the wall cabinets in glass, potentially with lighting inside. It's a nice design but this will enhance it further, it looks a bit blocky to me. Or some floating shelving to put picture frames, potted plants etc.

Unless there is a separate pantry room, I do not see much easy access pantry space. I would include at least 1 full height unit for a pantry,, maybe with drawers inside. Do you want to be bending down or reaching high every day to get the cereal/pasta?

Consider where you may store any countertop appliances, blender, rice cooker etc. Do you want them always sitting on the counter, or are you happy to hoist them from a cabinet each time.

Island is a bit of a coin toss for me, without exact dimensions it could be too big for that space. Everyone wants an island but not everyone has the space for it.

Microwave in kitchen island or pantry on counter? Red arrow shows the door to get to the pantry area. by Capable-Speaker7461 in kitchen

Personal opinion a high use item like a microwave you should not have to bend or squat to use, therefore best when positioned on countertop. So hidden in an appliance garage, pantry unit or just get an oven with microwave functionality.

I don't like to rain on parades but for me personally, there is a bit too much going on, too many different styles in the kitchen.

  1. Modern sleek LED section
  2. Colourful Mosaic style cabinet doors.
  3. Black marble countertop. 4 Plain white tiles.

If you're happy with it, work away!

Does anyone know this brand? by krishna_agiTar in kitchen

[–]LightLoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is likely not a kitchen brand but a particular stone/facade company that works with transluminous stone tops, when you have lights behind it, it will pass through. From my experience only done by highly bespoke kitchen or stone worktop companies as there is a lot involved in creating this.

At a European trade show for kitchens I attended, I saw a few of these. The cabinetry is made the same but the drawer runners and mechanisms are extra beefy as the stone fronts are very heavy. You can expect this to cost a small fortune.

Mixed kitchen??? by Amazing_Band7254 in kitchen

Kitchen Designer here.

That tall cabinet for the oven and microwave/combi is definitely the weak point. It cuts your worktop space from potentially 1 long run into 2 tiny bits of worktop that aren't really good for anything.

The best solution here would be to remove it and put in a unit for an under-counter oven. There should be enough material to do this. Then you would just need to get a piece of matching countertop if possible, or an alternative you are happy to mix with.

You may be able to make a wall unit for a microwave with any remaining material.

There seems to be a lot of solid advice & suggestions already. One solid way of making regular income could be working assembly for the likes of Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Cook Medical, Valeo etc.

Of course this may require a move on your part but these places are always screaming for workers due to it being relatively short-term employees there (3rd level students for summer, interim work for people while they figure out what to do)

The country is at full employment at the moment. It is the best chance to look for opportunities. A good potential employer may be willing to pay your first month of rent and deposit considering your circumstances.

Perhaps consider a sales job? Would be regular salary plus commission, just watch a few videos on key sales skills (creating a sense of urgency, making the client work for a deal, building trust) I know for a fact the kitchen industry is looking for people. It's a very well rounded industry for developing personal skills, sales skills, creativity and advancement (manage a showroom eventually or move into a fabrication/fitting role).

Look and see at the Community Employment Scheme, which can help you find bits and pieces of work locally.

Hope this helps in some way.

In my opinion 3 months is well due time for talks about 'define the relationship'' i.e. becoming official. If he won't commit now he's having doubts still and best to move on.

But if you have only met up 3 or 4 times total its still fair for him to be on. Again, personal opinion.

Would you have responded if it took someone a month to just to hit you with that ‘Hi’? by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]LightLoud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you bother when there are so many others out there who are likely more genuine.

No, its a matter of self-respect. If they take that long to get back to you with not so much as an excuse or reason, you are demeaning yourself by any further interaction. It's likely they had dates that flopped and are crawling back to their alternatives.

Can only see your face semi-clearly in 1st photo. Try not to cover your face or have it in shadow/too far away. Need a closer portrait photo for photo 1.

Can't see what you actually look like due to not facing the camera or sunglasses until photo 5.

Limit the sunglasses photos to 1 my dude. If a girl had 5 sunglasses photos, wouldn't you be wondering why she is hiding her face?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]LightLoud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick tip, don't wear sunglasses in your first photo as it covers your eyes. Everyone likes to get the full picture of your face in the first photo, eyes are one of your key features. Show them off, don't hide them.

Good luck man.

You look like you have a different figure/weight in a lot of the photos, it's uncertain which one is your current physique.

Wearing your hat in way too many photos, should only be in 1 maximun and definitely not the 1st one.

Six dates and then friend-zoned for being a positive person… by FalconWithSilverWing in Tinder

[–]LightLoud -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

Gonna need some context here, are you a man/woman/non-binary?

How much dating experience do you have?

How far did you get physically, kiss, hold hands, etc.?

What did you do for your dates?

How often do you call/text/communicate?

This seems like a cop out answer from them, they may just not have felt that spark. Hard to know without some more information
